This being our third release day, I usually just share the images of the new items we released but I encourage you to visit our site or even my Day 1 and Day 2 posts to read all about our new items.
How about a few more projects for today?
I've had SO MUCH fun with the new Perfect Pairs 2 and digging out the previously released set of Perfect Pairs Stamps!
I wanted to show you how nicely our new Radiating Love Heart Die works on a 4.25" square card base. It fits perfectly! Here I started with a pink base and die cut it first with the main die in the set and then again with the heart die in the set to make a window to the inside of my card. Then, I stamped, colored and die cut this milk & cookies pair (HOW CUTE ARE THESE?) and put them on the inside of the card, but added a sentiment to the outside on a piece of kraft card stock.
With this card, I started with a white base which I ink blended with pinks. Then, I laid a white piece over top that's been cut with both our Forever Heart Layer 1 and Forever Heart Layer 2 Dies. To create my focal pieces, I stamped, colored and die cut this cutie couple using the Perfect Pairs 2 Stamps and Dies. I finished the sentiment by using the forever word die from the Forever Heart Layer 1 and heat embossed the friends word from the Perfect Pairs Additions Stamps. Cute, right?
One more project using my favorite couples. This time I used the original Perfect Pairs Stamps and Dies and the new Perfect Pairs Additions Stamps. I started with a white card base on which I did some ink blending. When I was done, I used my Radiating Love Heart Die on the front. I wanted to give my couple an oversized base to sit on so the heart you see here is actually from our Dual Stitched Heart and Kisses Word Die Set which I was thrilled fit perfectly. The rest is simple including the white splotches I made with watered down paint.
I saved this one for last because as it turns out I am in LOOOOOOOVE WITH THIS so I feel like I saved the best for last. I had this teal card base cut and stamped from our last release using the Cozy Plaid Stamps and I didn't get around to using it so I thought it would make a great holder for my cocoa packet and peppermint spoon. I turned the card base upside down and cut it down with my Dual Dotted Border Builders Die and stuck my treats inside and wrapped it with this great ribbon I had. I create my focal image, I used our new Bear Hugger Die & Stamp Bundle which I die cut from white card stock. I wanted to make this into a panda so I used the panda face stamp and stamped his belly with the big hugs stamp. To give him more of a panda look, I colored his arms, ears and feet with a black copic marker.
Since I wanted to use my bear as a focal image and not as a treat holder I decided to trim down his arms. I was inspired by a project that Heather Hoffman created and shared with my prior to this release. Here's a picture of how I trimmed his arms down with my circle punch tool.
One more look at this! I'm going to send it to a friend who's had a difficult 2019 so far. I hope this will cheer her up!

today was a super inspirng day!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the three days of inspiration for the new release, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed this latest release, Laura! But what I appreciate the most is the thought and consideration you put into all of your die designs, particularly the word dies. Yours are the only ones I'm aware of that always ALWAYS cut as a whole, keeping all the elements in place. I don't have to fuss with keeping track of the tittle above the letter "I" or aligning the words just right because everything stays in one single piece! It's just genius! So thank you for thinking about those tiny details and incorporating them into your amazing designs every time. Love lil' inker stamps and dies!
