You Made It Monday Vol. 22

Happy Monday!  I hope you enjoyed our New Release last week.  We had a great time sharing our new products with everyone.  The design team hit it out of the park and our new designers are such an awesome addition to the team.  We hope you were inspired and are ready for even more inspiration today.  I was in a bit of a snarky mood as I was checking out all the fun projects you've created with Lil' Inker Designs products and shared!  I bet you'll know why when you see the cards I noticed this week.

I got quite a chuckle when I saw this seriously fun card by Broni.

You guessed it, I couldn't help but notice all sorts of fun cards created using the Fine Prints Stamp Set.  I just love how she combined this fun sentiment with the Seriously Word Die.  Her combination of patterns and colors are amazing and make this card even more fun.  Thanks for sharing, Broni!

Next up, get another chuckle with this card from Alycia.

How cool is this background that Alycia created using a sentiment and the magnifying glass from Fine Prints Stamps.  I love the basic black, white, and red color combo and how the background really makes you notice the sneaky parts of this sentiment.  Brilliant, Alycia!

Here are the cards that started this week's obsession.

@scrapconr really caught my attention on Instagram with these fun little cards!  I just love the simplicity of the design and how the sentiments are really the star of the show.  It's a great use of the fun silly stamps in the Fine Prints Stamp Set.

Finally, Lydia shows us that that these sentiments can be pretty fancy too.

I love how Lydia framed the sentiment with flowers that switch from color to black and white at the edges of the circle.  What a great way to highlight a sentiment that people need to pay special attention to.  Lydia has created some amazing cards with Lil' Inker Designs supplies so I want to make sure that I share the link to her posts tagged with Lil' Inker Designs.  They are tons of fun to check out!

We hope you enjoyed this small glimpse of the amazing creations you guys are sharing using Lil’ Inker Designs products.  I can’t wait to see what else I discover in the weeks to come.  We’d love to have you share your creations with us by:
  • Tagging us in project pictures on Facebook
  • Using #lilinkerdesigns when you post a picture to Instagram.
  • Keep blogging and add a Lil’ Inker Designs label to your posts.
  • Pin your projects to Pinterest with Lil’ Inker Designs in the description.
  • Join our Flickr group and add your creations.
We want to find your projects and these are some of the ways you can help us do that.

You never know, you might find yourself the subject of the next You Made It Monday!  Have a great week and as always, happy crafting.

If you were featured today, please email me at lilinkerdesigns@gmail.com to receive your special blog badge! We loved your work this week and were so happy to see it!

April Release Hop Day 3!

Well that went fast!!! I'm here for the third and final day of our April Release Hop!
What have been your favorite products so far??

In general, for my Day 3 post I typically repost all of the photos of the items we're releasing and share some new projects for today with you and that's exactly what I'm going to do today!

Day 1 and Day 2 Posts are really informative and I highly recommend that you give them a read for lots of tips and to learn the ins and outs of our how our new products function.

Clean Lines: For the Guys Stamps and Dies - YES!!!! Fun to work with and easy to create with!

Kite Flying Stamps and Dies - these sweet animals are hard to resist!

Tribal Chic Stamps, Cover Up Die, Papers & Dual Stitched Triangles - you basically NEED these products in your life!

Fringe Scalloped Rectangles Die Set - another NEED in your life! Loving these ruffled frames!

Um, yeah - I'm like a broken record - You need these too! LOL! No seriously, these are so beautiful. You will love them.

And if you love the two above, trust me when I tell you that these next two are the perfect pairing!

I'm going to focus on our Vintage Flower Stamps and Dies as well as our Vintage Label Sentiments & Vintage Label Die today with the new projects I'm showing you. Let's have a look!

Here I created a 4.25" square card base and die cut it with our Cover Up Die: Stitched Woodgrain. Love! Then I got to using my flower stamps which I did in Ranger Archival Ink in Magenta and stamped the centers in Deep Purple, the leafy parts in Leaf Green. Then, I lightly colored everything in with colored pencils that coordinated here. I just really like the soft, filled in look the pencils gave. Once I colored everything and die cut it out I got to making my sentiment.I started by stamping the vintage label frame and then my sentiment combo. See how I changed up the look here by not using the inside frame stamp? Versatility! YES!! Done!

Here I got a little more ornate. I used my Vintage Flowers as a backdrop for my Vintage Label Sentiment panel. The flowers are again stamped and penciled in. These are great supplies to work with! I found it easier to line up my stamps to die by following the guide I created which you can find and print HERE. I love how this turned out! I hope it inspires you!

Here's another quick look at everything else I made and shared with you earlier this week. It always feels so good to get crafty!

Before I send you on your way, one last reminder to leave some love along the hop today as three $15 store credits are up for grabs!

April New Release Hop Day 2

Helloooooo there, Lil' Inker Friend! I hope you enjoyed my Day 1 post yesterday. I'm back and ready to delve right into Day 2!

Here's another look at everything releasing in store this week!

Amazing cover up die! A total must have! The team has been raving about it!

These triangles have been really fun to play with and are surprisingly versatile! If you love Dual Stitched Dies there are a total must have!

Um, these stamps really surprised me! Tribal Chic Stamps can make so many cool patterns it's mind blowing. One look at the product gallery on our site at these stamps and you'll be smitten!

These Tribal Chic papers are gorgeous, affordable and better yet their quality is next to none AND everything is printed, cut and assembled right here in Massachusetts!

Ok, you pretty much just need our Vintage Flower Stamps and coordinating Dies in your life! These flowers are so pretty and are so true to nature - I think that's what I love about them most. You'll be amazed at how pretty these are no matter how you use them. AND, to make your crafting even easier I've created THIS GUIDE for you. Totally print this and keep it as a handy reference with your stamps!

Our Vintage Label Die and Vintage Label Sentiment Stamps are truly TRULY THE MOST PERFECT set to coordinate with the new Vintage Flowers but better yet they are designed specifically for the wonderful ladies in our lives so this set arrives just in time to get your Mother's Day cards rolling! YES!!!! Make sure to have a look at the project gallery on our website for this set. One look and you'll see just how much you need these supplies in your life!

Our Kite Flying Dies and Stamps are really sweet and even better they're simple to work with! I think what I like most about these is that we have so many nature supplies in our collection already like our Sunshine Dies, Rainbows & Clouds Dies and more that you'll be able to put together some really cute outdoor scenes because everything works so nicely together. CLICK HERE for a handy guide. It wasn't really needed but I thought I would create one to point out how the animal accessories can be used in this set and how the kite stamps.
Again, I mentioned yesterday, but it should be noted that the team is using a sample die set which we later perfected. Your die set will cut close to the edge of your animal images as seen in the die graphic above.

These might be my faves of the release. OH EM GEE!!! These Fringe Scalloped Rectangles are WICKED COOL! All the little scallops can be popped up by hand with just a quick flick of the finger after cutting. It does take a minute to achieve the look but it's so amazing you won't mind. It's like adding a built in ruffle to paper. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

This is a cute and fun set for all the men in your lives!!! Simple but adorbs images are in this set For the Guys Stamp Set and you will love using the sentiments to build the perfect greeting! Don't forget the die set!!

I think this is a great release with so many fun new things!!!

How about a look at a couple of projects??

My first card uses are our new Clean & Simple: For the Guys Stamps together with our Dad Word Die and new Cover Up Die: Tribal Chic. I started by die cutting my grey card base with the new cover up die. It's funny how this is such a great die for both a feminine and floral card but a man's card as well! Then, I stamped a bunch of these images at random and did some quick coloring. Love this! I think my dad will too! He's super into cars!

Here I used our new Kite Flying Dies and Stamps to make this sweet card together with our new Fringe Scalloped Rectangles. I started by pre-making an A2 card base and then using the second die in the set I cut out the Fringe Scalloped frame and used my fingers to pop up each scallop. Now, I have a friend who's about to have a baby in June. She and her hubby have been trying for over 10 years to have a baby and her shower is in a couple of weeks. AS SOON AS I colored my bear I knew this needed to be a baby card. So, I grabbed my Stork Stuff Stamps and used the "little man" sentiment. How sweet? My bear was super duper easy to color. Let me tell you......I stamped him in a Ranger Archival Ink which by the way are my ultimate favorite inks OF ALLLLLL TIME!!! This color is Tree Branch, I believe. Then using a red ink I stamped his vest. Then, I took a watercolor pencil and just lightly filled him in. No fancy coloring here. No Shading. Just a simple wash of color.  I also stamped my kite in two colors which is easy to do because we've broken this stamp into two pieces for you and just for this reason. Once I figured out my background, which I assembled from our Dip Dye Ombré Paper Pad and Border Builder Dies, and figured out my general layout I stamped my kit string. I am absolutely tickled over these kite strings. They're dotted design is just the sweetest. Of course I added in a few teeny bows along the string with the stamp from the set.
A little more about this. I actually attached my background behind the frame / on the back side of the front of this card. This left me with the inside of the card blank so I can write a note to my friend.
I just love the way this turned out!!!

Remember, I used a sample Kite Flying die set for this card so there is quite a gap of space around my bear here in this photo. You will be receiving a die set that cuts much closer to the edge of the bear. YAY!

Ok, before I let you go here is a list of everyone participating in today's hop:

April New Release Hop Day 1

Hi there, Lil' Inker Friends! It's a big day here! Not only is it the first day of our April Release but we're also going to announce our three new Design Team Members!!!!

Let's talk about our new team members first because I am super DUPER excited to be working with them for the first time as members of our new fam!!!

DRUM ROLL..................

Hi, my name is Angel Rivera. I've been a card maker since 2006 but started scrapbooking before that, back when it was all about the stickers and decorative-edged scissors! Lol! I live in Oklahoma with my hubby of almost 22 years and our 3 boys (18, 15 and 12). I also work full time, so crafting helps keep me sane with such a busy household! I'm SO excited to be joining the Lil Inker Designs DT!

Hey friends! I'm Stephanie... wife to my amazing husband, Bryan, mama to my sweet little ones, Abbey and Jack, and obsessor of all things papercraft! I love casual, boho styles, collecting vintage cameras, laughing hysterically, and spreading love and kindness. I truly believe making cards and crafts keeps my heart and mind healthy. Thank you, Laura, for the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible creative family! Love & hugs! Xo.

I am Joy and I live in Australia in a small country town with my partner, Darryl. We live in a small cottage with a brick path and lavender on either side and a garden out the front. I have love to craft for as long as I can remember and I realised that I certainly needed my own room to come and go as I please. Darryl has built me all of my furniture in my craft room and he is super talented. I love and adore my room and it is constantly in a work of progress and a busy little hub designing cards either for design teams or for myself. I have been on many design teams and have guested for many more and always honoured and humbled when asked.. I have met so many people around the world through this craft and many have become close friends. This craft is something that keeps my life sane and smiles every day!

These ladies are truly, truly amazing and I can't wait for you to enjoy their blogs this week and see how they can inspire you to use your Lil' Inker Designs goodies! Welcome, Ladies! I am honored and so excited to work with each of you!!!!

Let's get right to what's new in store this week so that we can enjoy the creations from ALL of our amazing and talented Design Team Members!!

First Up is this adorable set we're calling Clean Lines: For the Guys and it will be part of a series we're releasing. Designed with all the men in your lives in mind, this set gives you a simple way to make a masculine card but keeps everything looking clean and cute, but you know, in a man-ish way! LOL!

Using a few simple but adorable car-related icons we designed a series of sentiments that you will love to use and which cover many purposes and occasions.

Of course, we had to design a die set to coordinate so that you have a way to easily cut out these cute images!

Next up is a set that I am super in love with which we're calling Tribal Chic. This stamp set contains a series of geometric shaped border and background building stamps that have this great tribal or even Southwest feel but are kept feeling so modern and chic because of the font and sentiment pairings we've done to go with them.
When using this set and seeing what the Design Team does with them you will be amazed as to all the different pattern possibilities this set has! Loads of potential here!

Our Dual Stitched Triangle Dies is a set of three triangles each featuring our signature Dual Stitching Design and were created specifically to compliment and work with our Tribal Chic Stamps. These are just so fun to use and I really feel like if you're a fan of our Dual Stitched Dies in general then these are truly a MUST HAVE for your collection.

OH EM GEEEE......These Tribal Chic papers are rediculously yummy! I don't even know what to say! We basically have combined two tribal-inspired paper packs together here and are releasing them as one big set! The patterns are fun, colorful and feature this amazing distressed vibe all while being so fresh and modern. Of course, our papers are printed on only THE best quality of paper we could possibly find for you - a true crafter's dream. These papers will compliment our Tribal Chic Stamps and Dual Stitched Triangles so so nicely! You won't want to miss your chance to work with this paper pack!

One more item in our Tribal Chic Collection is this brand new Cover Up Die!!! You guessed it! It's a perfect A2 size so that all you have to do is pre-cut your A2 card base, line it up with this die and run it through your machine! It creates this wicked cool pattern of stitched, arrow-like chevrons! It's AMAZING!!!! I have a tip for you! You know I'm kind of a perfectionist, right? I found that with my pretty worn cutting pads that I got the most perfect results with this when I ran it through once, then flipped it around and ran my sandwhich through again. Love love love this!! You will too!!

OK!!!!!! You need this next die set in your lives, like STAT!!!!!!!!! I think out of everything in our release these are going to move the fastest so if you love them purchase them as soon as you can.

These are our brand new Fringe Scalloped Rectangles. The scalloped border you see pictured below is something quite unique! When you make your cuts, this decorative border will lay flat but you can pop up these little scallops all the way around giving them dimension and texture! It's almost a ruffled-like effect! WAIT until you see these in action!!!
As with most of our Rectangle Dies, the largest die in this set ONLY cuts the Fringe Scalloped Border around the edge of a premade A2 card base. The other two dies in this set feature this new detail on each side of the cut line giving you two Fringe Scalloped Rectangles to use OR the Fringe Scalloped frames left around the negative cuts!!!! Love!!! SWOON!!!! LOVE!

I am loving the sweet images in our new Kite Flying Stamp Set!!! We have had this set in our inventory since last Summer and we are now just getting around to giving it to you! I can't believe that!!!! Featured here are three main images, bear, bunny and chick. There are two different styles of "vests" that you can stamp on to this bear to dress him up included in this set. How cute is that?? There are also two different styles of "skirts" that can be stamped for the bunny as well. More cuteness. Even chick has a patterned wing! Then, use the two halves of the kite done in different patterns to create the cutest and simplest kite ever and then stamp it's stitched kitestring and don't forget to add the bows included along the string. This is truly a sweet set!!!!!! I think you'll love the adorable font we used here which we've worked with in the past but just seemed so right for these guys!

Of course we had to give you a Die set for these stamps!!! Now - there is something you should know.  The dies that myself and some of the team are using for our release projects are not the exact dies you are going to receive, but a sample version we received prior to the final product. The layout will look exactly as depicted below but they will cut much much closer to the edge of the stamps than what you might see used in some of our blog posts today. Somehow there was a discrepancy during production and these dies were created with a far too generous border between the stamp and the edge of the die and our manufacturer has addressed that issue for us. Therefore, when you order these to use with your Kite Flying Stamps you will receive dies that are perfect and nice and neat! :) YAY!! More good news?? New, smaller die set also means a smaller retail price too so your cost for these dies is now LESS! That almost never happens!!!!! Happy accidents!!!

Also noteworthy to mention is that the kitestrings in this die set cut only the stitching into your paper and do not "cut out" anything! I like the effect. I think you will too!

I've created a Kite Flying Die & Stamp Index for you as a handy tool. Check it out HERE!

These next flowers are truly truly beautiful with their vintage, toile-like feel! Two of the five main blooms are two-step stamps having separate centers. There are three additional two-step stamps in the set so that the leafy part and buds or blooms can be stamped in separate colors. Then, there are plenty of leaf and vine images which will all come together to make beautiful collections on flowers on your cards and paper crafted projects.
These flowers will be gorgeous stamped in different colors, heat embossed and watercolored, stamped and colored with markers or even just stamped in black for a true toile look.

We've of course given you a die set to cut out all of these gorgeous flowers and their pieces. I've created you a Vintage Flower Stamp & Die Index which you might find as a helpful guide when using this set. I recommend that you use the guide and then label your stamps and dies with the same numbering system as I created in the guide. Simply a must have die set if you love the Vintage Floral Stamp Set!
TIP: I found when using the two-step stems and bud images that it was best to stamp the stem first, then die cut and then stamp the bloom. You also know that I'm a bit of a perfectionist and that it's probably not necessary, LOL.

You might have noticed that our Vintage Flower Stamp Set does not have any sentiments. Welllllll, that's because this next set was designed entirely as a companion set BUT totally will work on its own as well.

This is our Vintage Label Sentiments Stamps and it was designed for all the special ladies in your life and is PERFECT for Mother's Day! We've included a beautifully shaped vintage label frame stamp and then a decorative center stamp. All of the keywords in this set stamp within that center frame and the coordinating phrases can be mixed and matched and stamped above and beneath the keywords......it sounds like a muddy explanation all typed out but I promise when you see the team samples you'll see how easily these stamps all work together.

Here is a die made special to cut out the vintage label frame in the Vintage Label Sentiments Stamp Set. I recommend stamping everything first and then cutting out your greeting with this die. It's been hollowed out in the center which will aide you in perfect alignment!

Okay!!! How about some projects?? I think I'll focus on our Tribal Chic collection of items today.

This is a card I made with our new Dual Stitched Triangles Dies as well as our Tribal Chic Papers and Stamps. I started with a kraft card base and die cut a stitched border using my Stitched Mats: Rectangles. I did an arrangement of triangles using my Tribal Chic Papers which are so so so so pretty, right????? Er meh gerd.....LOVE!!!!! To create my sentiment I layered a vellum strip heat embossed with Neon Pink embossing powder over another paper from this same collection. I really love the way this turned out and how quickly it came together using these items.

Here I did something a little different with the same stamp set. I used my Ranger Distress Inks to create this blended panel and then I created a background with my tribal borders in black ink. My sentiment is done in permanent ink on vellum again. I love how vellum adds a touch of softness.

One more!

Here I started with a taupe card base which I die cut with our Cover Up Die: Tribal Chic. LOVE this color. Then, on a smaller, white card panel I did some stamping with the Tribal Chic Stamp Set and added my sentiment in coordinating Taupe Ink.  Easy project and can be made in loads of different colors too!

What do you think?? Are you loving these goodies??
