Typically in my Day 3 post instead of sharing all the tips and tid-bit information about the new products I only share the images and then I link you back to the Day 1 and Day 2 posts which you can do by clicking :) If by chance you want to read more you can always go to our store and read the product descriptions for each item.
Here is a picture of everything we've just released:
Here are some samples of assembled robots.
Honest to goodness, no matter what you choose to take home with you today you won't be disappointed!
I'd like to focus today on our new Lollipop and Pencil Treat Holder Die. It's definitely something different than we've seen before and I know you're going to enjoy these. I designed these with classroom Valentines in mind and making them simpler yet still handmade and this is where I arrived!
I thought it would be neat to have a die cut notecard that has holes pre-cut which holds either a lollipop or a pencil. At our school we're not able to send in any food or treats because of food allergies and rightfully so but somehow it seems like lollipops are okay and I love sending in a holiday pencil with a big ol' fun eraser so I know I'll be reaching for these dies a lot!
Once cut, stamp or decorate any way you like and then just simply slip in any lollipop you like or a no. 2 pencil into the holes! Ta-Daaaaaa!!!!
Some things to note, you will get a little bit of raise in your paper when using a lollipop but these can be flattened with a little clever and only slight bending of your lollipop stick - or not at all because this is no big deal.
Pencils can be added to this card the exact same way OR they can be tied on with a ribbon.
Side note before I continue :) I REALLY wanted to get a video on this for you but I was unable to this week. My home office/warehouse is in the process of being redone and reorganized by myself and my husband and we were at the mercy of the delivery company to begin THIS WEEK during a new release of all things. I just didn't get the chance to resolve the technical issue I experienced with the video and software to get this to you this week and I apologize but you can bet your patootey that this video will be my top priority as soon as things settle down here.
Like I was saying, :) pencils can be added either through the holes or tied on with a ribbon if you thread ribbon through the provided holes. When used with pencils, the die acts as more of a flag on a flagpole and your paper will react as such with some bending in the center. I recommend using a lighter weight paper if possible or not because these are perfect and cute no matter what!
Here is an example made by designer Karen Baker showing how a pencil can be tied onto this die cut.
How sweet is this? I Love how Karen just tilted the head of the robot slightly. It adds so much personality!
Here are the projects I made using this brand new die!
Here I die cut using white card stock which I stamped with our new Robot Builders Stamps, LOVE! I added in hole reinforcers which are dies included in this die set. I think this makes for such a sweet and unique gift for all ages. I love it!!!
Here I die cut using watercolor paper which I then stamped with the burger and fries image from our new Perfect Pairs Stamps which I watercolored. Seriously, these stamps are the absolute cutest little things I've ever seen! HA!! Isn't this a great overall presentation?
Here are some additional projects I have for you today.
I made this card using our new Robot Builders Stamps which I had an absolute BLAST stamping with. I stamped three different robots and die cut them using the smallest die from our Stitched Mats: Squares Die Set. This card is 5.50" tall and about 3" wide and I used our new Cover Up Die: Center Point Chevron on the background. I did that by die cutting, laying over my base and trimming off the overhang. I just love the interest this adds in the background! I have to be honest, I love the way this turned out!
Squeee! I love these tags! More below on how I made them. :)
Here I used our Anytime Tags 2 Die Set, Doodled Love Word Die and our Hearts Banners Die Set to create this tag which decorates a baggie of candies wrapped in pink chevron wrappers. Isn't this so cute? It came together super quickly too. I thought this could make a sweet treat for a friend or teacher.
Here I Used our Love Tags Die Set and Peas and Carrots from our new Perfect Pairs Stamps which I colored with Copics. Sweet! The hearts added are die cut from our Floating Hearts Die and added to the tag.
I hope you like my projects and I hope you'll head on over to Lil' Inker Designs and pick out your favorites!
