Ok, so we have more to share with you today! It's day 2 of Balloon Dies, Party Hats Dies and You're Invited Stamps AND we're revealing 2 brand new sets from The Sugar Kissed Cottage!
It's almost Halloween!!! Seriously, I cannot get enough of the vintage inspired images from our Sugar Kissed Cottage line.
Here are two fabulous sets....
Best Witches
That Best Witches sentiment is SO AMAZING when stamped on card stock. I love love love the font combo and she is just about the cutest little witch I've ever seen. Her costume just begs to be paper pieced...and even though I'm supposed to save my Best Witches project for later in the week...I'm going to post it here today! Hee Hee!
Carving Pumpkins
Ok, so I have some projects for you today! Do you ever have that crafty time where everything just comes together easily and you love the projects you create? I had one of those moments.....It's because I'm having so much FUN with these goodies and they're so easy to work with!
I'm going to start with my Best Witches card!
Oh, this was so fun to make!! I busted out some of my favorite Halloween papers ever - the Matilda Collection from Cosmo Cricket...LOVE and I decided to paper piece her costume. Now, I actually did the paper piecing in two steps. I did her arms and front in one piece and the rest of her costume from another and tilted the paper as I stamped. This way, I thought her dress actually looked like it had movement and I think it worked.
I kept my layout very simple. I have this hill template that I keep handy. It's just something I drew on heavy paper and keep around but I love the dip...it's perfect to tuck a sentiment into which is exactly what I did here. I then finished my image with some coloring and shading, and cut her out and I finished off the top of my card with this amazing black ribbon from Ribbon Carousel. It's the best black ribbon I've ever worked with. It's more of a seam binding and it's matte finish is unbelievable. I am in LOVE! I added some Halloween twine also from Ribbon Carousel and added this ghost brad to the center! I love this card! I don't know if I can give it away!
To showcase our Party Hat Dies today I made an invitation! I started by layering a piece of patterned paper over my card front and making a wrap to keep the invite closed for sending. Here's a close up of the wrap...
It was super easy and the hat was really fun to make. I used left over dots from the polka dots overlay and added the scallop trim and hat topper embellishment to my stitched hat. I stamped a sentiment from You're Invited into our double ended banner die from the Flags and Tags collection, wrapped some twine around it and proceeded to finish the inside.
This is the inside of my invitation. So I made an A2 card, scored it and folded it in half and then I used our Texture Plate: Frame 1 to texturize the inside (if that makes sense). I couldn't wait to show you this part. Do you see how the invitation just nestles right inside the center? Karen Baker's fabulous idea!!! I then embellished with some of the smaller Balloon Dies and added some linen thread. This is one cool project if I do say so myself!!
I am so excited with how awesome all of these products are. The Party Hats are so fun. The Balloon Dies are PERFECT in every way, Karen rocked the You're Invited Stamps and the sentiments on the Sugar Kissed Cottage sets and Lindsey Amschler's vintage images are undeniably fantastic!
Now, don't forget that we are giving away some prizes this week! We have 2 secret prize blogs and we'll be giving away 2 $10 store credits and a choice of stamp sets from the new release to 2 more winners! YAY!
Ok, it's time for me to send you on your way today! Head on over to the very talented Mary Johnson. She has an amazing project also featuring our Best Witches set! How much do our designers ROCK, by the way? :) I'm so lucky and happy to have them all!!
Don't forget to leave comments along the way. The more comments you leave the better your odds of winning a fabulous prize!!
We'll see you tomorrow with a product that is so amazing it makes my head explode! LOL! No, I'm not even kidding....I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's going to be the star of the week! So we'll see you then!
