December New Release Blog Hop Day 3

Hello! Thank you for joining me again today for the third and final day of our December Release Blog Hop! Thank you also for all the enthusiastic comments and response to this release! I'm so happy everyone is enjoying our items and projects!!

Today, being our third day, I'm going to give you another look at our new stamps and dies and I have a few more projects to share with you today. If you'd like more information on the items we launched please visit OUR STORE for details and project galleries for each item.

Cover Up Die: Buffalo Plaid

First up today is a project I made with our new Cover Up Die: Buffalo Plaid and Comfy Cocoa Stamps.

To create this fun, colorful and textured background I used my Cover Up Die Buffalo Plaid with red card stock. I also cut it again in white. I layered a kraft card base under my red layer and from the white layer I just used the squares that cut away and glued them onto my red layer. This is just one way this die can be used and I thought it would be neat to show how you can achieve a tri-colored background with this die.

To create my main focal image, I die cut an ornament from the Oh My Ornaments Die Set and stamped it with the deer stamps from the Comfy Cocoa set. There are five stamps in the set that all stamp to create this sweet little face. I adorned it with a gold ornament topper and some greenery from our Festive Florals Stamps and Dies. Underneath is a banner from our Warm Welcome Die Set and stamped again with a sentiment from the Festive Florals Stamps. LOVE this little deer and I wanted to show that it can be used for more than just the coffee mug in the Coffee Talk 2 Die Set!

I started here with a white card base which I stamped on the diagonal with the scribbled lines plaid from the Cozy Plaid Stamps - yet another way this stamp can be used to achieve a trendy plaid. It's amazing in just black and white! I kept the rest very simple by die cutting my mug in black and heat embossing it with the Let's Cuddle stamp from the Comfy Cocoa Stamps. Also used here is the marshmallow topper die and peppermint stick from the Comfy Cocoa Die Set. I love love love how this turned out. It came together QUICKLY too which you all know I love!!!! 

What's great about this scribbled lines plaid is that when you stamp it doesn't have to be perfect. It's very forgiving!!

Last but not least is this cocoa gift I wrapped up. I found this perfect mug for $1 at a Christmas Bazaar and I was THRILLED!!! GREAT FIND!!! I added two packs of cocoa mix and two peppermint spoons to the mug and wrapped this in cello.

Of course, I had to adorn this cutely wrapped gift with a tag! So, I die cut my coffee mug in kraft and stamped on some snowflakes in white craft ink and then my sentiment from the Comfy Cocoa Stamps in black. I think it's my favorite sentiment in the group! I stamped and die cut my peppermint stick and added on a whipped topping from my Comfy Cocoa Die Set.

And now I'm going to let you in on a little secret. I can't part with this. I'm keeping it. I love the mug and I had to choose between keeping one of the pillows from yesterday's post or today's mug and I chose the mug. Does anyone else ever have a hard time parting with the things they make? Just me?
