If by chance you're just joining us be sure to read our Day 1 post as well. It contains a video for you too.
Here again is everything we released in store this week.
Today, I'm going to focus first on our Apple Shaker Die and Apple of My Eye Stamps. Here are two projects I made using these supplies. I was able to make two focal images from one cut with my shaker die.
This first project I filmed for you so if you're interested in seeing how I used my die set to create my Apple Shaker give it a watch. It also contains a great tip for you too.
This next project was made because of the "discard" from the shaker frame. Waste not want not! No, seriously, the whole point of designing this set the way I did was so that you could make a shaker, or a large apple or a small apple which is achieved by using the smaller apple-shaped die.
Here's what I made.
I also had some fun with my new Distress Oxide inks to create this bright background. which I toned down with some grey accents. I love how this turned out!!!!!! And it was super easy! See how the stem and leaf fit both the large apple and the small. That was no accident! HA!!!
I have one more project for you today. If you joined me yesterday you know that I designed our new Hootie Patootie Stamps after my friend Suzanne said she wanted something I made to put in her new baby son's nursery. This is the image that started the whole set and the sentiment I designed with Suzie and baby Willem in mind.
Here I started by backing a 4.25" square card base and I die cut a border with our new Silly Stitched Squares Dies. Then, I used our Ombré Chevrons Paper Pad in the background. Using my Stitched Woodgrain Cover Up Die on taupe paper I hand cut a tree branch to perch my owls on. I then heat embossed my sentiment and added the sun with my Sunshine Die Small. Sweet image, isn't it?
