A couple of weeks ago, Jennifer McGuire launched her beautiful new website so of course I headed over to check it out and I was truly truly touched by Jennifer's intro video and the message she shared about what she does and the potential impact a handmade card can make. Trust me when I tell you that this was such an appropriately timed message for me and a great reminder about the hobby I love and my love of all things handmade and the smiles they can bring to so many.
A few days ago, I was beyond thrilled, excited and shocked when I opened my mailbox and saw this gorgeous box of Share Handmade Kindness goodies from Jennifer.
I'm so inspired by Jennifer's message and I'd like to share some kindness with you!
Today, November 19th 2015, when you place an order at Lil' Inker Designs, we'll add a Send Pretty Mail Stamp Set to your order. You deserve it! And just in case we run out, we promise to send you something just as cute! There isn't a code so just go ahead and order the goodies you've been eyeing and you'll receive this set just for being you!! :)
After receiving Jennifer's Kindness Box, I knew instantly I wanted to share it with you! I'm giving away this gorgeous set of hand foiled note cards each with a message of kindness. To them, I've added in 7 of our premium envelopes which I've lined using our Stitched Envelope Liner Die and Dip Dyed Ombré Papers. Inside are also a set of Snail Mail Stickers from the goodie box and everything is wrapped up and topped off with a little tag I made.
Would you like to win this little giftie? All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post and mention how you're sharing kindness. I'll pick one lucky winner to receive this pretty note set. Comments should be left by 11/22/2015 at 11:30 PM EST and I'll announce a winner shortly thereafter.
Speaking of kindness, the Caring Hearts Card Drive is going on now and it is one of the most fabulous ways to share kindness that I can think of. Vera Yates is the kindhearted mastermind behind this wonderful cause. She is collecting hand made cards and distributing them to nursing homes throughout the US, Canada and Australia. Isn't that Amazing?? I can't think of a better way to spread cheer to so many.
Please CLICK HERE to head over to Vera's blog to read about how you can contribute your handmade cards and put a smiles on so many faces this holiday season.
Thank you all for joining me today. I hope that I've encouraged you to share some kindness as well.
Love,
Oh, this is amazing of you!! Love this stamp set.
ReplyDelete... Oh, and I'm sharing handmade kindness by sending out several cards to IG friends right now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute set to include with orders! The notecards are gorgeous! I have been sharing foodie gifts with my neighbors this week and have been spending time at our town care homes playing piano for an hour or so a week. They so enjoy the Christmas music and old '40's classics. It's been good for me too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for spreading kindness with your free stamp set offer! I just placed an order for some things on my LONG wish list! I too have been participating in Jennifer's share kindness challenge. I've made baked goods for teachers, friends, coworkers and given away with a handmade card of course! Now I am working on the kids challenge. Thanks again Laura! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI just love the idea of spreading kindness. I usually send out birthday cards to many, many peeps but lately I have been sending out cards "just because". :) I recently made a card set for my friend who is celebrating working 20 years at the same job. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove spreading handmade kindness! I baked goodies for all my neighbors and included a note letting them know how thankful I am for the close friendships we have. Neighbors watch out for each other
ReplyDeleteI enjoy leaving handmade cards for wait staff at restaurants and hotel maid servers. Beautiful cards, and such a nice offer! Thanks for making the world a better place.
ReplyDeleteI have your envelope die and need to use it more often. Beautiful! I have been making an effort to send out cards "just because" instead of waiting for a special occasion.
ReplyDeleteYour gift of kindness is incredibly generous and ever so beautiful! Like many others, I've been swept up in the kindness campaign (which I hope remains year round!): making and sending cards to friends, daily little RAKS (brushing snow from people's cars, bringing someone an unexpected coffee); making more cards for the residents of the seniors' home where my mom volunteers. Spreading kindness feels sooooo good! Thank you for yet more inspiration!

Oh, this is sooo sweet!! I've been spreading kindness by sending cards, commenting on blogs, and just simply smiling at people. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet stamp set to include with this great giving promotion that is so contagious right now (and isn't that a great thing?!). I 've been inspired to send cards to several people who have been in the hospital and are now convalescing in nursing homes. It's such a great reminder I need to mail more cards and not let them collect in a box!
ReplyDeleteI watched a youtube video yesterday that had your link out to the side - I have never heard of Lil' Inker before but am so proud I happened upon it! I have just recently started making cards and have suggested to our church ladies to have a card making day to send cards to our shut in's an the nursing home we visit regularly. I will be placing an order today and can't wait to start sharing the kindness and joy a card can bring! Thanks so much for sharing what you do. You never know who you will inspire next, like me!
ReplyDeleteSO AWESOME!! LOVING LOVING LOVING the SWEET Share Kindness Challenge and THANKS to you for offering something so FUN too!! =) I have been making Holiday Cards and I'm hoping to leave some at the Cancer Treatment Center where I'm doing my Treatments for all of those who may not have the time to buy or make Holiday Cards, but want to send/give something SPECIAL to their LOVED ones for the Holidays!! =) I'm just AMAZED EVERYDAY as I go for my 3-5 hour Treatments at how CANCER DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE!! There are SO MANY going through these NOT FUN Treatments and I think some Handmade Holiday Card Sets would SPREAD some KINDNESS and HAPPINESS even if its just in a SMALL Way!! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing and for the chance to WIN!! I'd be adding that set of Cards to my contribution if I was to WIN, just so you KNOW!! =) HUGS and Have a FABULOUS WEEK!!
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet! I just had a tea party for my Aunt and cousins and gave them each handmade gifts and cards.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice idea to give away that gift, that's truly a sign of kindness! I share kindness by sending handmade cards for birthdays, Christmas or other occasions. And from time to time, without any specific reason, I give little gifts in self made packagings to friends, neighbours, etc., such as little treat boxes with some chocolate or a bubble bath or some tea, etc. And for the women in my Pilates class I will make little boxes filled with some chocolate and I will give it to them for St Nicholas's day.
What an awesome gift! I'm spreading kindness by making a crafty care package for my friend who is having a baby soon. Hoping that the crafting goodies will give her some entertainment and relaxation while she's in maternity leave.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so pretty! The kids and I are making cards for the third week of kindness card shower
ReplyDeleteI love the Sharing Kindness & Caring Hearts Card Drive and I am actually participating in both. I have two cards ready to mail out to Jennifer McGuire for Emily and Xander and I have been featuring the Christmas cards that I have been making for the Caring Hearts Card drive on my blog! I love the idea of sharing kindness and letting people know that you are thankful they are in your life for the month of November. I love that ombre' paper pad! I ordered one a while back and it is so much fun to work with that I am thinking I may have to order a new one too! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'll be sharing a lot of kindness over the next few weeks in the way of sweet treats! I love incorporating my love of baking and crafting to bless others. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous offer (for the free stamp set and the lovely notecard set)! I have been sending hand made cards to my elderly aunt who lives about 4 hours away. I actually leave the cards blank & write a separate note. That way she can use the cards to send to whomever she wants. She was always making all kinds of crafts from quilting, to pottery to doll making, so she really appreciates the cards.
ReplyDeleteI tried to find a home for a local dog that had been put up for adoption. He is going to his new home this weekend, although I was not the one who found his new family. I hope he is really happy!
ReplyDeletehow awesome Laura, thank you for your kndness! I have been sending cards along with some gift tags to random people who have signed up for my postable. I also gave candies to our mail lady. I send cards every month to a organization for sending as they need to.
ReplyDeletesparkle & shine, kindness *~*
What a wonderful thing you're doing! I love sharing my handmade kindness and have been more inspired by Jennifer McGuire and all the people she has inspired to join her. I want to order your sunshine Stampa because I have been inspired to create a box of sunshine to send to someone I love going through a difficult time. Thanks for sharing kindness and creating awesome stamps to help the rest of us do the same.
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous giveaway! I belong to a Facebook group that sends cards each week to people who need a little mailbox cheer. I love making cards for them!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this generous offer! In our home, sharing handmade kindness takes the form of sending cards. We love to send/give cards and let everyone around us feel appreciated and special. My two daughters have also caught on the bug ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove this! I try to share kindness by sending cards I make but also by sharing a smile with people.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful gift set. I have been sharing kindness by sending cards to special people in my life for not only birthdays but those going thru difficult or tough times. Alsovisiting nursing homes.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful cards and love the envelopes too! I just finished making gift sets of four cards each to give to all 12 of the ladies at my bible study table.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Laura! I just love your lined envelopes. Sharing Handmade Kindness has always been 'my cup of tea.' This month, I have been sharing Jennifer's Challenge on my blog, sending lots of handmade cards, and baking some sweet treats to share with neighbors. Sharing handmade kindness makes the world feel a bit more gentle.

I'm sharing kindness in several ways this holiday season, but the biggie this week is planning a crafting day right after Thanksgiving and prepping an easy to assemble kit for a friend who is interested in learning how to make cards. I look forward to sharing my stash and encouraging her to enter this land of handmade crafting. Thank you for the opportunity to enter your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLove everything, but I love most is the fact we all inspired by kindness spread all around us.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely cards and envelopes. I have been participating in the Kindness campaign and also working with our local motorcycle chapter to provide children with gifts for Christmas and food for the holidays.

ReplyDeleteI gave my crochet pattern away for free. Though it was due to a twist of unfortunate events, I'm glad that so so many more ppl get to enjoy the pattern now and do it openly instead of circulating it illegally underground. Heavy hearted yes, but I'm glad we used kindness to deal with it.
ReplyDeletethis holiday season, I'm donating some handmade cards to an auction for our humane society!
ReplyDeletebeautiful cards!!!!!! i was able to send a few thinking of you cards to friends who have lost loved ones!
ReplyDeleteKindness is so easy to practice. I am in the process of making cards to take to the hospital to thank those who took care of me recently. The easiest kindness is to share your smile!

ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable set of note cards. I've been trying to mail out more cards than ever. Not just for a holiday or birthday but just because.
ReplyDeleteLinda
I'm actually taking a break right now from signing my cards for the Caring Hearts card drive!
ReplyDeleteI often send a note of appreciation to an employee's supervisor if I have been given good service. I ask that the note be placed in their file and reviewed with them at their performance reviews. I am trying to complain LESS about poor service and PRAISE more for good service.
ReplyDeleteIm participating in the caring hearts drive I love this idea I just added my 53rd card to the box I am sending and I will continue to make more cards utill I have to send my box out priority mail probably Tuesday evening. I'm also baking mini pumpkin loaves to give to the office staff, nurse, two social workers, librarian and the lunch ladies at the school where my daughter works. I'm making about a dozen loaves to send to the unsung heroes of our schools.
ReplyDeleteThank you would love to get a free set.
ReplyDeleteI share kindness by making Christmas cards and greetings cards for my sister to give out. It's really fun.

ReplyDeleteI have been leaving cards for neighbors who have newly adopted grade school kids. Thought it was a fun way to welcome them to the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteI share kindness by giving away cards I've made in my online classes to the assisted living center where my elderly aunt resides. Beautiful cards and enveloped, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome and kind idea! I'm just bummed that I missed this-- a couple days ago I had actually planned to place an order but came down with the flu and had to delay it. So today, I finally had enough strength to return and place the order and I see I missed out on this special. Bummer!
ReplyDeleteI'm busy making handmade gifts and cards for my friends and family for Christmas. Thanks for the chance to win! 😃
ReplyDeleteI'm coming to this late in the game but those cards are beautiful. Now I have another favorite place to look for inspiration! I will jump on to the caring hearts drive and get moving on a card or two today.
