If you've arrived here from the awesome Katie Gehring's Blog you are on the right track! If you'd like to start at the beginning of our hop head on over to the
Paper Crafts Connection Blog :)
I will NEVER forget the day I found out I was one of the winners of the World Card Making Day contest! All of a sudden my phone exploded with dings and bings one right after the other. I happened to be cleaning the cat box at my brother's house (don't ask) and happily stopped to find out what was going on. Every message and notification had notes of congratulations but I had no idea what for. Someone had mentioned WCMD. Could it be? I of course ventured over to Paper Crafts Connection to see if maybe the email was mistaken. Surely it was another Laura and that's when I saw my name! I was so shocked and surprised and excited and I did a little happy dance in my rubber gloves holding the kitty scooper, LOL!!!
Each of us created a card in the category in which we won. My category was the Hello/Thinking of You Category - my FAVE reason to send a card!
My lil' company, Lil' Inker Designs, was one of this year's prize package sponsors so I OF COURSE had to make a project featuring goodies from our store using the Hello or Thinking of You theme.
Here is the card I made to share with you today...
Here I used the Spot On Stamp Set from Lil' Inker Designs and various other LID goodies such as our Stitched Mats Rectangles. The sentiment is one from Spot On's sister set, Darling Diamonds, in keeping with my theme. It's also the same sentiment I used on my winning entry card!
I also used some goodies from my awesome, generous and stellar prize package! Three of four inks above were given by Hero Arts. They are seriously AWESOME! I LOVE this ink! They WAY they stamp and how gorgeous the colors are! And if you look closely you'll see the sparkly embellishments which were from a papers and embellishments kit from Close to My Heart. I LOVE THEM! No only do they have sparkle but the dots have texture as well and that's just fun.
This card was super duper easy to make. I stamped the patterned spots onto scrap paper and punched them out with a 1 inch circle punch and just arranged them on my Stitched Mat layer adding smaller little punches and my glittery embellishments and stamped my sentiment. DONE!
If you would like to win your very own Spot On Stamp Set and coordinating Connected Circles Die which were the goodies included in the WCMD Prize Package from Lil' Inker Designs please leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite card making occasion is and I will pick a winner at random to receive this prize. I'll leave commenting open through Monday, March 3rd.
Thanks again for stopping by! Head on over to visit Lorraine Marasigan who is next up on our hop today!
THANK YOU TO Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine for being just plain awesome, for picking my card and featuring it in my favorite magazine! And thank you so much to all the amazing sponsors of the World Card Making Day Contest. It's a dream come true to receive such an awesome box of goodies in the mail! I might have spread it out all over the floor and rolled around in it and by might have, I mean I totally did! :)
