Lil' Inker Designs & The Curtain Call Challenge!

Hi there, Lil' Inker Friends!

We are sponsoring this week's Curtain Call Challenge and I am super excited! Curtain Call has an incredibly talented design team and I seriously cannot WAIT to see what their team does with goodies from Lil' Inker Designs and this week's challenge!

This week's inspiring theme is Cozy Quilt! Check it out! It is SERIOUSLY THE PERFECT THEME to use with goodies from Lil' Inker Designs which is why EVERYONE should play along! And the BEST part is that you have a shot at winning a $30 Gift Certificate to Lil' Inker Designs! How cool is that?

Why is Cozy Quilt the perfect theme for using your Lil' Inker Designs goodies? Well, when I think quilts I think stitching!!!! And since we've been designing dies with our Signature Stitching Detail since 2010 I'd say this is VERY good match :)

I have two cards to share with you today which I thought worked well for our terrific theme.

I couldn't resist pulling out my Circles & Diamonds Stitched Pattern Die and my Darling Diamonds Stamp Set! I started by cutting an A2 card base from white card stock and die cutting the front with my stitched pattern die. Using an assortment of colors I stamped my "hi" diamond in the center of each of my circles. I then stamped the coordinating Hello sentiment onto vellum and did a little heat embossing. The top is finished off with some of my favorite black and white twill ribbon.

My second card marries a bit of old and a bit of new! You know what die I love from our line which I haven't pulled out in a dog's age? Our fantastic Rainbow Die! I started by making a white A2 card base. Then I die cut an additional panel to lay over the front using our Cover Up Die Stitches & Stripes. This is the newest Cover Up Die in our collection and it is nothing shy of awesome! I love the striped look this adds to my card front and you just can't beat the addition of that stitching detail.

I just did a white on white card base for a soft look and I like how all the detail still pops. I then cut a small focal layer from stone card stock and stamped my sentiment from our Rainbows & Clouds Sentiment Stamp Set in black ink and then I had a little fun with my friend the Rainbow Die! I cut him three times from different pieces of patterned papers I happened to have little scraps of and then I added clouds at each end. These clouds were cut using our brand new Cloudy Sky Die and they are THE perfect size for this, the smaller of the two Rainbows in our Rainbow Die Set.

We have a number of LID Designers joining us for the Curtain Call Challenge today including Amy Kolling who is also a Curtain Call Design Team Member, Suzanne Dahlberg who is being featured as a guest at Curtain Call today as well as Alicia Thelin maker of pretty things as well as Maureen Merritt, one of our newest and fabby design team members!! You can click on their names to be taken to their blogs but don't forget that you can go straight to the Curtain Call Challenge site to read up on how you can participate in this week's challenge, see the team's creations using LID goodies and get a shot at winning a $30 gift certificate to Lil' Inker Designs!

Thank you so much to Stacey Schafer, Director of the Curtain Call Challenge for this wonderful opportunity to sponsor Curtain Call. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and spending the weekend with Stacey in January at CHA. We got along just like peas and carrots! I just adore you Stacey!

Before I let you go, we had some pretty big things happening here this week. We announced that Lil' Inker Designs is now a Shop featured at InLinkz so you can make these cool supply lists in your posts like the one below so much more easily now that all of our products are available right on InLinkz.
