Lil' Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop Day 2

Hi there, crafty friends!!!! Thank you so much for joining me once again today to get a closer look at our new January Release! If today is your first day joining us please go ahead back and look at our Day 1 post so that you can see everything I had to say about our new items yesterday and of course the new projects I made and shared yesterday.

Here once again is a look at everything that's new to the store this week and STAY TUNED because you can WIN the ENTIRE RELEASE and I'll have more details about that at the end of this post.

These hand illustrated Farm Love animals are o fun to color and I love the mix and match fonts we've given you here, some of which are also hand illustrated. You'll love using this set for valentines and birthday cards and more!

If you love our Farm Love Stamps then you'll love having the coordinating Farm Love Dies. The dies will cut out each of the animal images and even some of the accessories. The sheep features an additional cut line around her arms. This lets you have Ms. Sheep hold some of the accessory images right in her little sheep arms. I love that!!

Ok, let's talk about our Forever Heart Dies Layer I and Layer II because I want to be sure you are fully aware that these dies work together or individually.
Forever Heart Die Layer I is an A2 sized die that lines up perfectly with a pre-cut and scored card base and cuts out a dotted, off-center heart right into your card base. It's a fun feature for a background. It gives you a point to which add an additional image and it's just plain old pretty in and of itself. The Layer I die set also contains (at no additional cost) a Forever Word Die. Yup - so you get both of these dies in the Layer I set. This word die is sweetly done in a script font and can be used right over your dotted heart or on loads of other cards and projects. This die set is a real value!!

Forever Heart Die Layer II is equally awesome! On its own the Forever Heart Die Layer II cuts a stitched pattern that creates the stitched outline of an off center heart and then its stitching detail goes all the way around the border of your A2 card base. It's a beautiful detail all on its own and it's easy to use. Pre-cut and score an A2 card base and then center this die over that card base and cut and you'll get a perfect result.

Here's a team example of the Layer II die used on its own.

If you decide to purchase both layer dies you'll end up with a dotted, off-center heart which is then outlined with a stitching detail that then goes all the way around the border of your card.

Here is an example of both dies being used together. Isn't this great??

Ok, so hopefully if by chance yesterday's post left you wondering about or wanting more about these dies that this explanation will help.

What can I say about our Galentine's Day set that it doesn't say for itself? It's all about ladies celebrating ladies......the besties in your life. I love this set and it's all good things...cute, fun, funny and silly!! I think you'll enjoy using this set and I'm sure it will make all your friends smile.

Love and Honey Stamps are lovely. There are two main focal image stamps that feature gorgeous florals that are easy to color. As you can see we've done a heart shaped wreath made of flowers and a heart filled with flowers. Both are perfectly sized focal images. The sentiments are simple but sweet. I don't know about you but I call my hubby Honey more than anything else so I guess I made this with him in mind. Insert cheesy grin here. HA!

Here is a set of Love and Honey Hearts Die to perfectly cut out the stamp images of the same name. For the wreath, die cut your image first and then using an alignment tool like the MISTI stamp your image perfectly onto your wreath and cut. You won't have to do this with the other image because that die is hollowed out.

Our Love You More Than Words Script Heart Die is such a pretty saying and I love that it's in the shape of a heart. I've really enjoyed seeing all the ways that design team has used this die. It does require a bit of assembly after cutting as it cuts in two pieces. I just love the look of the font and what this die says. This one goes well beyond Valentine's Day for sure!!

You have to have fallen in love with our new Quilted Stitched XOXO Die by now! It's perfect for all your valentines and love themed cards and cuts a stitched X's and O's pattern right into your card fronts. I love this die! I think you will too!!

Love is Love....is love is love is love. Love! Love this set, LOL!!!! Actually I really love the mix of fonts and that you can mix and match the words to create phrases and I also love the little quote in this set too. I think you're going to really enjoy adding this set to your collection and experimenting with all the things that it an do!!!

Our Love Is Love Word Die is a fabulous die as well! It's meant to coordinate with our Love Is Love Stamps as a compliment to the set and increasing the ways in which you can use the stamps. Just be sure you know that as a compliment to the set this die doesn't cut out the Love word in the stamp set. This die can also be used as a shaker especially when used with the little extra bits and pieces dies we've included here for you.

What are your favorites? What are you loving so far?

Would you like to see some of the projects I've made to share with you today?

My first card was made using our new Farm Love Stamps and Dies and I am in love with how this turned out! I'm going to have to make more of these as it was fun and easy to make! I started by stamped my animals on to watercolor paper along with some accessories and then I got coloring with my Zigs and an Aquabrush. Once everything was dry I did my die cutting. I knew instantly that these images grouped in our Instant Camera Die would be adorable. This is a previously released die - oldie but goodie if you will.
Once I created my focal piece I did some stamping and heat embossing in silver to create my sentiment and I popped everything over a piece of patterned paper layered over stone card stock. I did add some Wink of Stella Clear but it was hard to capture the sparkle in my photography. That's actually ALWAYS hard for me to capture - anyone else?
I love that the piggy can hold the note and that the sheep actually has cuts around her arms to hold some of the accessory images in this set.

Well, I had  a little birdie left over from my previous project so he found up on this card....

I started with a stone colored card base which I cut and scored first. Then, I used both layers of the Forever Heart Die to create the dotted heart and stitching detail background. LOVE! It's like the perfect backdrop for any card. Then, I used our Love Is Love Word Die which I cut several times in different colors of paper to create my greeting which I adhere to a piece of vellum to make it stand out a tad from my background. Then, I used the forever word die included in the Forever Heart Die Layer I to finish my sentiment. I colored my darker grey forever word die cut with silver Wink of Stella but once again it fails to show here but it's super DUPER sparkly in person. And there went my bird atop my greeting and singing a little song of love. Cute, right?? I like it!!

A bit of the same idea here in terms of using the Love Is Love Word Die and different colors of card stock. Here I first stamped and heat embossed this fun pattern using our newer Unstoppable Stamps and then I took my die right to this layer so that the letters cut away from my grey base. I backed that layer with acetate and created a shaker exclusively behind the O in love and inlaid colored letters in the L, V and E spots. Everything is popped up on foam tape here. Love it. I'm such a grey girl. In fact as I type this I'm wearing a grey shirt, and grey boooties and a scarf with grey in it.......grey is my new black. Gee, even my house is full of grey! I'm obsessed. It can however stay the HE double hockey sticks away from my hair....for now. LOLOLOLOL!!!!

I hope you love everything I've created to share with you today!  I certainly enjoyed creating for this release!

New January Release Blog Hop Day 1

Helloooooo there!!! I am so very happy to be here today!!! Today is the first day of our new release blog hop and I'm super excited about these new items we have for you today especially for Valentine's Day, cards for loved ones and lots more!!

Here is a look at everything we're releasing in the store today.

Farm Love Stamps is a delightful set of farm animals hand illustrated just for you and they are perfect to use on Valentine's Day cards, cards for loved ones and even birthday cards. Some of the sentiments have also been hand illustrated and can be combined with a sweet printing font to create great and useful phrases. The accessories included in the set can be made to be held by many of the animals in the set. Love this!

Our Farm Love Dies have been designed to coordinate with our Farm Love Stamps and will cut out the images in the set with perfection and ease. The Sheep die features and extra cut around the arms so that many of the accessories can be placed in her arms as though she's holding them.

The Forever Heart Die Layer I is a really unique die! If you pre-cut and score and A2 card base and line this die up to that card base for cutting you will yield a really cool, off-center, dotted heart right into your card front. This set also features a Forever Word Die done in a cute script. It can be used over the heart you cut or entirely on its own for other projects.

This die can also be combined with our Forever Heart Die Layer II below for an even more dressed up look. Read on!

Our Forever Heart Die Layer II can be used with Layer I or all on its own. By itself it will cut a stitched border almost all the way around your card but "traces" the image of an off-center heart. Used with Layer I it will outline the dotted heart that layer I cuts. It's actually so so cool and we hope you love this unique set of dies.

Our new Galentine's Day Stamps are seriously perfect for all your favorite girlfriends and besties. It's an homage to sticking together and the importance of bonds of our friendship - but done in a fun and sometimes silly way. This set can be especially perfect for any single girlfriends in your life too!
Each of the hand illustrated images have a greeting to coordinate with it, which is great. The set also includes a funny sentiment that I love from the movie bridesmaids. I love it because it's a reminder to all of our friends how truly fabulous they are. I hope you love this set!

Love and Honey is so so pretty! It features two focal sized florals. One is a heart filled with flowers and the other is a heart wreath made of flowers. Each one is delightful to color. Because of the scale of these images two simple, but classic and hand illustrate sentiments have been included in the set together with a couple of individual florals that can be used in lots of ways.

This is our new Love and Honey Hearts Dies and were designed specifically to coordinate with our Love and Honey Stamps and will cut the images in that set set with precision and ease.

This is a fun die! Love You More Than Words Script Heart Die is a script saying in a heart shape that I'm sure you will love to craft with. It fully says "I love you more than words can say". Some assembly will be required after cutting as the phrase cuts in two pieces - easy!

Love Is Love is a lovely addition to our collection. I love what it says. I love the options we've given you between the bold and block font to the softer and more brushed font. You'll enjoy mixing and matching both to create sentiments and even fun backgrounds.

I think our new Love Is Love Word Die is a MUST HAVE!!!! I love it because I love the block style and the scale of the letters. I love that the letters can be used in different colors and mixed and matched and I love that this die can also be used as a shaker die! We've even included some elements that can be used as shaker bits in this die set too!! I love love love this die!

Last but certainly not least is our new Quilted Stitched XOXO Die. It's quite possibly the most perfect background die for Valentine's Day featuring a stitched X's and O's pattern that adds just the right touch of stitching! This can be used for cards that express love any time of year! It's so easy to use too! I alway recommend cutting and scoring your card base first and then lining up this die to your card base and cutting. It adds instant texture and visual interest to your card fronts.

Would you like to see some of the projects I made to share with you today using these new goodies?? I'd like to show you these two.......

First up is a card I made using our Love and Honey Stamps and I chose to work with the wreath image. I started by die cutting my wreath using the Love and Honey Hearts Dies. Yes, die cut first is my tip. Then, you can use a MISTI to stamp your image perfectly onto your die cut piece. Once everything was all stamped and ready to go I colored this image with Copic markers.

Funny enough, after the fact I used my Wink of Stella Clear pen to add some sparkle and for the first time ever it actually dulled my coloring. Does anyone know why that happened?

I added my sentiment onto a piece of vellum which I heat embossed in gold and trimmed into a flag shape which I put through my wreath and adhered to the back of the wreath so that the glue didn't interfere with my vellum. I even added a gold thread bow here too which is a tad bit hard to see in this photo.

My background under the wreath was created using my new Quilted Stitched XOXO Die which I am obsessed with! All of this was layered over a plaid piece of paper and a navy card base. It actually came together very easily and I found the image very enjoyable to color!

I wanted to create a project showing you how nicely the little floral bits in the Love and Honey set could work. So I started with a red card base which I die cut first with my Forever Heart Die Layer I which cut out the off center dotted heart you see which I love. I layered a white piece of card stock behind it so it popped. Then, using my Forever Heart Die Layer II I cut the stitching detail you see around the dotted heart and around the edges of my project. I love love love how this looks cut with red card stock. Ooo la la!!!!

Once I colored and trimmed out the small floral bits and set them aside I cut a Cover Up Die Love panel (previously released)

and hand trimmed out that love word you see above. I think it's so cool that this die can be used to cut out an individual word! Once I glued that down I added my florals to dress it up and I used the Love Is Love Stamps to create the greeting you see heat embossed in grey. Isn't this lovely? I really really like how this turned out.

Tip: When using the Forever Heart Day Layer II pre-cut and score your card base and then center this die over your card base and then cut. Easy and you'll get a perfectly centered result every time!

I still can't believe Christmas is over but I just can't help sharing these gorgeous creations you all have been posting.  Just look at this card by Laurie, @crazycardlady.

Don't you just love this pastel take on Christmas?  The colors Laurie chose for the Festive Florals Stamps are amazing and the layering she got by cutting them out with the Festive Florals Dies...perfection!  The card base color is perfect and the sentiment stamped on the Stitched Scallop Border Die fits perfectly.  It's simply a gorgeous card!

While we are on the subject of perfectly festive pastels, you must see this creation from Susie, @scmoore.

This gorgeous card uses the Vintage Christmas Wreath Stamps and Vintage Christmas Wreath Die to really establish a gorgeous focal point for this card.  I love the coloring and how Susie created the space in the center for the sentiment.  Wow!  Be sure to check out Susie's Instagram feed because I know I saw another amazing card using these products.  Thanks for sharing!

Speaking of the Vintage Christmas Wreath Stamps, I just love this card from Ann, @annchuangcrafts.

Ann shows you just how bright and happy the Vintage Christmas Wreath Stamps can be.  There is nothing subtle about this fabulous card.  The shading is dramatic and beautiful and the card just shines with fun little extras here and there.  Love it!

Another card I found that really grabbed my attention was this one from Maria, @a_country_home.

A card made completely with sentiments?  Crazy isn't it?  Not if you have a sentiment set like All The Christmas You'll Ever Need.  Just look at the amazing background that Maria created.  It's amazing how just a bit of twine and a sentiment in the center finishes it all off so perfectly.  Wow!

Finally, to finish off this holiday season Katya created an amazing interactive card and shared it on her Instagram feed, @adventuresincrafts.

The Cover Up Die: Geometric Snow really looks amazing as an opening panel on this simple and elegant Christmas card.  The white on white is lovely with a touch of shimmer and purple.  The perfect way to finish this post.

We hope you enjoyed this small glimpse of the amazing creations you guys are sharing using Lil’ Inker Designs products.  I can’t wait to see what else I discover in the weeks to come.  As I mentioned above.  You can expect to see You Made It Mondays on the first Monday of each month, unless it's a new release day, then we'll bump it to the next Monday.
