October New Release Blog Hop Day 1

Hello there!!!! We have some really cute and exciting things for you with this release and I'm so happy this day is here!

Let's get right to seeing everything new in store today!

I mentioned that we have a little of everything for you today in the way of Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Let's begin with Fall.

Introducing Blossoms and Banners Autumn! It's a follow up to our VERY popular original called, simply, Blossoms and Banners, but this one is done with Fall leaves and flowers! There are three main focal images each with Autumn flowers and leaves each surrounding a different style of banner. Then, we've included six different sentiments which each stamp to fit on the banners in the set. We also added some individual Fall image stamps for fun. We think you'll love adding this set to your collection because not only can the two sets work together but the sentiments are so useful for card giving occasions! We also created a die set to cut out each of the focal banners and the individual Fall ephemera stamps.

Here is a project by Caly Person using this set. How perfect is this? Perfect for a Fall wedding, don't you think?

Moving right along to something for Thanksgiving but cute for ANYTIME of the year. Here is our new Hap-Pie Thanksgiving Stamps and Pie Die Set! This 3x4 stamp set includes a line image style of the cutest little slice of pie ever complete with whipped topping. Then, we included several greetings which make this image stretch across several card making occasions. Of course, the main purpose is to wish someone a cute Hap-pie Thanksgiving and keeping with that theme we included a "gather' sentiment. But if you look closely there are plenty of things this set "says"! The larger greetings, "gather" and "cutie pie" stamp to fit on the side of the slice of pie if you'd like.

Next up is our Pie Die Set! Having this die in your collection adds to the versatility of using the coordinating stamp set because it gives you the option to combine these cute sentiments with a paper pie instead of a stamped and colored one. I really love the size of this pie because it's very petite making it perfect for small tags or even table place card markers!

Here's an example using these new pie supplies by Karen Baker. I love this example because Karen shows you all the different 'flavors' this pie can be.

Squeeeee! Isn't this adorable? I love her combo of sentiments too!

If you're already a fan of Lil' Inker Designs, you're no stranger to our new Cover Up Die: Diagonal Plaid because it was previously released for World Card Making Day. You're going to see lots of projects made with this die throughout this release and because it's so pretty and fun, it's certainly worth showing this to you again today. It's available in limited quantity so if you love it, today's the day! Oh, and did I mention that this die layers for the most perfect plaid? Keep watching and you'll see how awesome this is!

Next up are our new Mitten Shaker Dies and Ready, Set, Snow coordinating stamps! YESSS!!!!

Ok, so the die set does SO MANY THINGS so I thought I'd created a bulleted list:
  • Largest die makes a GREAT holiday tag
  • Use the negative cut of the largest die to make a mitten-shaped window on a card front
  • Used with the second die, it makes a lovely shaker mitten
  • Use just the mini mitten included for lots of projects including mini gift tags!

But wait! There's more!!! We included a separate "wrist part" for the large mitten so you can lay it over your mitten in a different color which you can choose to leave plain OR you can cut it again with one of two texture patterns we included for this piece.

The Ready Set Snow Stamps are the perfect way to bring your mittens to life BUT can be used entirely on their own as Winter or Holiday stamps. Almost all of the sentiments included stamp to fit on the largest mitten and we even included some pretty snowflakes so you can stamp them on your mittens or create a pretty background.

Here is a fantastic example using these supplies by Chrissy Larson.

I love how Chrissy has shown what a fantastic shaker this mitten makes but also how perfectly this can be a tag with a stamped sentiment on it as well.

Chrissy has even managed to show you both "wrist textures" in action here too. FABULOUS!!!!

This next stamp set is really fun and I hope that you love it. It's called Merry Ornament. It's a beautiful, large ornament featuring a hand-drawn Merry Christmas sentiment ad we've given you the individual pieces to stamp this to make it into a lovely ornament PLUS a bunch of fun flourishes for added fun. CLICK HERE to view and/or print the Merry Ornament Stamp Index. It will show you how all of these pieces come together to make this fun and bold ornament.

Here is an example of our Merry Ornament Stamps by Heather Hoffman. I love the color combination that Heather used. How fun is this new set?

Next, is a new version of last year's holiday hit, Vintage Christmas Wreath Stamps. This time, we've taken these gorgeous, vintage holiday images and fashioned them into a gorgeous corner stamp featuring a pretty poinsettia and in a larger 6x8 set called Classic Christmas. This main image can be stamped twice leaving a perfect space in the middle of your card front for a greeting. In this set, we've also included three individual images that I'm sure you'll enjoy using in conjunction with the sentiments we've given you in this set. The sentiments are done in the most perfect font and are classic greetings. We've given you some sentiments that can be used on the inside as well!

Here is another shining example from Heather Hoffman using our new Classic Christmas Stamps. I picked this example because it uses the corner stamp and sentiment in the exact way I imagined this could be used when we were designing these stamps. Isn't this layout perfect? And this design screams vintage, classic Christmas!

Last, but certainly not least, are three perfectly oversized holiday word dies. To give you an idea of just how wonderfully larger they are, they were photographed on a card that is 4.375 x 5.375 - so not much different than an actual A2 card base. Have a look!

Don't you just LOVE the font of these? They're perfect and they're all one piece making it so easy to apply these to a card front.

Here is a grouping of cards I made easily with some ink blending and paint splattering which was a LOT of fun!

I started by die cutting each sentiment from light grey paper. Then, I partially heat embossed the bottom of each with silver embossing powder. On the top, I used white craft ink which I sponged on and blended into the silver. While the craft ink was still wet I sprinkled white glitter so that these had more of a snow effect. When complete, I set my sentiments aside so that I could work on my backgrounds which I completed entirely by blending inks onto white cardstock.

I used a combination of Distress Inks and Fresh Inks which happen to blend together beautifully! When each was dry I splattered then with white paint which I thinned with a bit of water. I realized I wanted to add a colored shadow behind each sentiment. So, I cut each work die twice more in pink, light green and light blue and glued all three layers of each together leaving the last layer peeking out from behind.

The size of these greetings is absolutely perfect and lend themselves to quick and easy card making!!!!
