New Release Blog Hop Day One!

Oh, hi there! Welcome to day one of our brand new release hop! I'm so excited to have you here today! WAIT until you see what we have for you this week!

As with each new release, everything we're releasing is available in our store for purchase today. And while I am going to show you every new product here that's being released today I'll only share projects only for the two products we're showcasing today and oh, my GOSH! This first die is one that I think every crafter should have in their arsenal. It is Ah-MAZING!!!

I'm going to get right to it!!!


Introducing our brand new Cover Up Die: Pieced Chevron!!!!!

Several, several months ago I had this idea to create a die that cut pieced or halved chevrons so that the pieces could be mixed and matched and used to make different patterns etc... I'm not sure why this idea fell to the wayside for a bit but I'm almost glad it did because I finally came up with the perfect design for this concept- one that gives you so many versatile uses it's crazy!

Our new Cover Up Die is just slightly smaller than standard A2 size which I really love because when this die cut is used as a frame or over a card front it allows your card base to peek out just behind it and it makes for a fantastically patterned mat. And then there's a million things you can do with all the pieces this die cuts as well and if you look at the graphic above you'll notice that you cut large pieced chevrons, diamonds and two different sizes of triangles!

This die truly makes me squeal and I think you'll squeal too! I bet our designers have thought of even more uses for this die that I haven't even dreamed of yet. I'm sure we'll see more of that as we hop today!

Here are some projects I made using our brand new Cover Up Die: Pieced Chevrons...

Here, I die cut the Pieced Chevrons Die from white card stock. I was sure to save ALL my die cut pieces for use with other projects and I laid the frame over this gorgeous yellow card base. Here you see a couple of sentiments from a set we're also releasing today - more on that in a min. I lurve this card and it was so incredibly simple to create!

This card was super duper easy to make too! Here I've shown you how the pieced chevrons can be used together to make this fabulous and colorful pattern! What's neat about this card is that I used scraps from five different colors of card stock but I only had to make one cut with my die because of the way I arranged my papers and die in my die cutting machine!

While, I am seriously in love with everything we're releasing this week this die might just be my favorite! I feel like it steals the show! You are going to LOVE playing with this die!

Ok, so since you've seen some of our new stamps in the samples above, I think I will introduce this set next. Drum roll......

Introducing our Spot On Stamp Set!

Here's a couple of fun facts about this stamp set.

1. It's awesome! The patterns and fonts are so on trend they make me drool - fact!

2. This stamp set was designed specifically to coordinate with our previously released Connected Circles Die! That's right! These stamps fit perfectly into the circles of this die!

3. This is the same font we used in our Darling Diamonds Stamp Set. Our designers and customers raved about this font so much so we gave you more! ....which means....

5. This set also coordinates with our Darling Diamonds Stamp Set!

6. You'll notice that each of the trendy text circles in the set has a coordinating over sized sentiment to go with it.

7. This set is incredibly yummy :) Click on the graphic above to enlarge it so you can see the amazing detail of all of the trendy patterns.

I love that this set breathes a whole new life into our previously released Connected Circles Die and I love too that this set can easily be used on its own to create gorgeous cards.

Ready for more? It even gets better if you can believe it!

Introducing two fabulous new tag dies in our new Folding Tags Collection; Original and Scallops!!

Squeeee!!! These are soooo much fun to work with!! These dies each cut a full size tag which folds along the perforated line so it's like a card and a tag at the same time! The front and inside can be embellished and a gift card fits perfectly in each! The Original has a straight edge fold "flap" that folds closed and the Scallops, a scalloped edge "flap". 

I've been wanting to create tag dies for you for so long but I really wanted to do something different and unique that our crafty little world hadn't seen yet and I think we've accomplished that with our Folding Tags Dies! They make a perfect lil' sumthin' to tie onto a gift or a baked good....anything you can dream up :)

I am apparently obsessed with breathing new life into scallops because here is a new take on a scalloped border die. I call it....

Fanfare Scalloped Border Die!

Seriously, this is an unbelievably gorgeous, gorgeous die! It can be used a couple of different ways... you can remove all of the small cuts inside for an open look or they can all be kept in place for a totally different look. My favorite thing about this die is how two or more fit together perfectly for a beautiful layered look! You've GOT to see this die in action. Ok, one more for you today....hold onto your seats.....my head almost rocketed off my shoulders when I used this for the first time! Another drum roll.......

Introducing Stitched Mats: Circles.....BUT WITH A NEW TWIST!!!! Check it out....

YES, this die set cuts the stitched circles you've been waiting so patiently for, but I really wanted to do something unique here. We have added our signature stitched detail to BOTH sides of the main, solid cutting line. What does this mean? Not only do you cut gorgeous stitched circles in many sizes but you are left with a negative cut that also has stitching around it!! Mind? BLOWN! Yes, these are that awesome! Check out how I used the stitched negative in the project below...

This card also features our Fringe Flower Die and Awesome Sauce stamp set (currently sold out).

Sunny Days Challenge Winners Announced!

WOW!! What an amazing turn out we had for our Sunny Days Challenge!!!! I truly enjoyed visiting every one's blogs and seeing the beautiful and clever ways you create with goodies from Lil' Inker Designs!!

Before I announce the grand prize winner, I'd like to announce our Honorable Mention Winners.

These winning cards were hand picked by me. We're doing lots of random winners so I thought hand-picking a few would be fun and when I started looking through the entries I found two cards that I felt truly represented Lil' Inker Designs and our Sunny Days inspiration photo.

Not only is this card striking in its design and use of colors and textures but it literally spoke to me. I feel like this truly represents how you can use a focal image die from another popular stamp company, even another company's stamp and still jam pack a card with goodies from Lil' Inker Designs. I really like that about this card! Barb used some of my favorite goodies on this card and check out the waves behind her boat....that's our Tree Die from our Holly Jolly Die Set. it's turned on its side and REALLY does look like waves. She also used our Stitched Mats: Rectangles creatively by cutting out the center for her focal image. 

I think one of the fun things about our little shop is that our goodies are made to coordinate with products that you already have in your stash and I feel like this card really drove home that point! Congratulations, Barb! You've won a $10 gift certificate from Lil' Inker Designs!!

Welcome to the Lil' Inker Designs Challenge Hop!!!

Hello and WELCOME!!

I'm so excited that today is finally the day!! We have a really fun challenge for you and I can't wait to get started. But before I do, I have a couple of announcements.

While we said goodbye to two fabulous designers since our last release, Mary Johnson and Judith Gowdy, who we all enjoyed working with so much and we'll really miss, I feel so lucky to say that Alyssa Scritchfield and Isha Gupta have joined our core team of designers and they're here to stay!

Mary and Judith, thank you for all your hard work here at Lil' Inker Designs. I enjoyed seeing your fabulous work with each release and your talents will really be missed. 

Alyssa and Isha, I think you're both fantastic and I'm so happy to have you as part of our little fam!

But WAIT, there's more!! Today we are announcing another amazing and talented designer joining our team. I think her designs are awesome and she is a Lil' Inker Designs enthusiast for sure!

Hi everyone! I'm Taheerah and I'm so so *so* thrilled to be joining the Lil' Inker DT!!

I have been a long-term admirer and buyer of Lil' Inker Designs products so I was excited beyond belief when I was invited to join the team!! There's something about Lil' Inker that's just so fresh and fun and unique - and those dies are just to die for!! I can't wait to convey my passion and enthusiasm for the products into my work!!

I'm an early 30s girl living with my three gorgeous cats in the UK. I love all things geeky - having a background in science and working in IT I guess that can't be avoided! I can often be found singing, but almost as frequently going crazy over crafting! Being creative is a huge passion of mine, probably bordering on an obsession! I have tried my hand at quite a few different things in my time, but card making has really captured my attention in a way that's here to stay. I love experimenting with most styles and am a definite lover of trends, as my work will tell! I've really embraced Clean & Simple (in my own way!) in recent times and really thrive on pushing my skills and my creative eye to the limit.  All of these projects have a warm weather feel, beautiful skies and really make me smile! And in honor of the warm weather upon us (which feels like took FOREVER to arrive and still hasn't decided to stay a while here in the Northeast) our challenge theme is......

Here are a couple of projects I created based on the inspiration photo above.....

Here I was inspired by the pinwheels in the sky pictured above. It made me think of flowers so I went for it! I really love how this turned out! Notice how I used our Of the Hearts Dies to create the petal? The sentiment is from our Sentiment Flag Additions Stamp Set - a really handy and useful set of adorbs sentiments and of course our Original Pinwheel Die.

Here I was inspired by the sky in the inspiration photo. My brother is graduating with his Masters so this is for him. I thought it was slightly more masculine with the black background. I think this saying from our Rainbows & Clouds Sentiment Stamp Set is perfect for a grad! Nothing says beautiful sky like our Small Sunshine Die and Clouds Dies!

Here I was inspired by the rainbow in the inspiration photo. I recently bough all this fantastic colored, hemp twine from etsy and I am in love! I thought it was the perfect opportunity to showcase all the lovely colors together. LOVE my clouds dies, of course, and the sentiment is from our Sunshine Sentiments Stamp Set.

I hope you like! This was the first time in a long time I got my craft on! It felt sooo good!!

A Card for Mom from Designer Amy Kolling!

Here's an amazing post from Designer Amy Kolling just in time for Mother's Day!

Hi everyone!  !  Laura just released this Mom Word Die and it couldn't be more fantastic!

I die cut my "mom" die from chipboard and stamped it lightly with the Envelope Pattern stamp from Hero Arts for just a little added texture. I saved the heart and used that to layer my twine on and then placed my die cut word over the top with foam adhesive!

 Have you seen the new MME Kate & Co. papers yet?? The one I've used is called Cambridge Court . I've used it for several cards already....it's just beautiful!!
