Color Team New Release Hop Day 4!

Hello! Welcome to our fourth and final day of our Color Team New Release Hop. It's been a great week! It's our first hop together as a newly established team of designers. We released three amazing images from our 2 Cute Ink line, we introduced our brand new Sugar Kissed Cottage line, three must have images from the new line and announced our newest graphics designer, Karen Baker!

If you're just joining us, today we're showcasing once again the three new stamp sets from our Sugar Kissed Cottage line. This line is designed by creator, Lindsey Amschler. It's a line inspired by vintage children's artwork from such things as coloring books and children's stories. I think they are just the sweetest things EVER and I just knew they would make an amazing stamp collection.

I'm super into anything vintage or vintage inspired all of a sudden and I really wanted to bring this into my stampy life as well. Here is another look at the first three images in collection, Rain Boy, School Girl and Surprise!

Color Team New Release Hop Day Three: Our Brand New Line!

Hello and welcome to day three of our Color Team New New Release Hop! Today is a very, very exciting day!!!!!!! We are introducing our brand new illustrated stamp line today!!!

The Sugar Kissed Cottage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sugar Kissed Cottage is a line of absolutely fabulous vintage inspired images by creator, Lindsey Amschler. I knew as soon as I saw these images that they would be a PERFECT addition to the LID Family!

I am SO into vintage lately. I'm buying Bermuda bags from eBay, designing a guest room in an eclectic Cottage Chic style with some vintage decor, I'm incorporating vintage treasures from my grandmother's basement into the redesign of my craft room, I'm wearing vintage jewelry from my husband's Nana and wearing my Grandfather's vintage watch.....I seriously cannot get enough. If it's *old*, to me it's hip and chic all of a sudden and I'm obsessed!!!! So I thought, "Why not bring this sudden obsession into my crafty life too?". And that's when I found Lindsey's amazing images.

What's equally exciting about adding the Sugar Kissed Cottage line to our store is that right about the exact same time we added a second and brand new graphics designer to our team!!!!! You know her, you love her....... Please help me give a very warm welcome to Karen Baker!

They say that timing is everything and that is so true with Karen joining our team. All of a sudden, Lil' Inker Designs is growing and so very fast and we really needed another designer to help Ariana with her laundry list of work and POOF here we are. I saved this announcement for today because Karen actually designed all of the coordinating sentiments in our first three Sugar Kissed Cottage sets as well as the art production for manufacturing. She will work specifically with this line going forward AND she will be designing a lot of upcoming stamp sets for Lil' Inker. I couldn't be more thrilled to have her with us and I just know you are going to LOVE what she does here at Lil' Inker Designs!!!!  (wait until you see next month's release with an unbelievable set designed by Karen with amazing coordinating dies from Ariana and I. Hold onto your hats!)



So finally, without further delay, I give you the first three hip, trendy, vintage inspired stamp sets from our new collaborative line from Lil' Inker Designs and The Sugar Kissed Cottage,  ta-daaaaaaaaaa.....

AREN'T THEY AWESOME??!!!

I seriously squeal every time I see these graphics! I can't put these stamps down and I just know that once you have them YOU won't be able to put them down either!

Just like the three awesome 2 Cute Ink images we released previously this week (click HERE to see them), these sets are a new and improved standard size of 3x4 inches - perfect, perfect, perfect for card making and easier on the wallet!! A total win win!

Here is a card I made to share with you today using our brand new School Girl image. Have a look:

I started by using our Texture Plate: Frame 1 to emboss a kraft card base. Then I added a black piece of card stock to the center as though it's a chalkboard. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder so that the sentiment really pops off the background. I colored this adorable School Girl image with Copic markers and cut her out, added a large gingham bow and called it DONE! It's super cute and I think I will give it to my son's new teacher in the Fall!

Color Team New Release Hop Day 2!

Hello and welcome to day 2 of our Color Team New Release Hop! If you are just joining us today, this week we are releasing six brand new illustrated stamps sets! Three are from our fabulous 2 Cute Ink line and three are from our equally fabulous and brand new line called The Sugar Kissed Cottage!!!!

Yesterday and today are days dedicated to our three new 2 Cute Ink images. Wednesday and Thursday will be devoted to our brand new line. So let's have another look at the three sets from our 2 Cute Ink collection....

Don't you think these are our best sets yet??? OH GOSH! I just love them so much!

Artist, Heidi Schwoerer of 2 Cute Ink is the illustrator of the adorable main and supporting images. Aren't they great? For this particular line, I add to the sets by devising the sentiments and Ariana creates the stamp art for manufacturing, the most important part! It is definitely a collaborative effort and one that I enjoy so much!

Here is a card I made using Surfin' Crab for you today...

I started by making a card with a windowed front which is where I added my sand using actual sand paper. My image and sentiment are both stamped on the inside. I had so much fun making this card! I think you are going to LOVE working with these new sets.

Oh, and I think you are going to love the new size! All of our new sets will be a standard 3x4 inch size. They are seriously perfect for card making. The focal images and sentiments are just the right size for an A2 card and what's nice about our new standard size is that they are little easier on the pocket too! Isn't that great??

Color Team Release Hop Day 1 Featuring 2 Cute Ink!

Hello! Welcome to our very first Color Team New Release Blog Hop! For the next four days, the newly assembled LID Color Team along with some very special guests will be unveiling three brand new illustrated images from our existing and fabulous 2 Cute Ink line as well as three images from our  brand new line called The Sugar Kissed Cottage! SOOO EXCITING!!

Today and tomorrow we're focusing on three new and fabby images from our adorable 2 Cute Ink line! I'm going out on a limb here to say that these three are the BEST we've done yet in this line.

Once again, illustrator Heidi Schwoerer of 2 Cute Ink has done it! Her images are absolutely adorable!

So, something a little bit new about all of our new illustrated stamps. They are all a 3x4 inch size. The images are perfect for cards; not too big, not too small and the new standard size allows us to keep the retail cost a little bit lower for you as well. A total "win win"! YES?


Today, I'm showing you a card I made using our new Birthday Owl set. Have a look...

I stayed very clean and simple here letting this cute image take center stage! I paper pieced my balloons and hat and perched this little guy along a "wire" or linen thread stamping my sentiment in kraft ink. This image is perfect for any birthday guy or gal and owls are so trendy right now! Have you noticed all the different owl jewelry, accessories and home decor in the stores? Hoo knew? HA!

This week FLEW by! I'm here to announce our 5th and final member of our brand new color team!

Last but certainly not least is the amazing.... [drum roll]..... Alyssa Scritchfield!!!!

Alyssa's work ROCKS! I knew when I saw her application that there should be a spot for this talented lady on our team! She's SUCH a great colorer and has an amazing eye for style! I can't WAIT to see what she will do with our 2 Cute Ink line as well as our brand new line which we'll be revealing shortly!
