Here is a look at everything that is new in store this week.
All of the above items sincerely work together. The compliment each other and add versatility to each other as well. It's like an entire suite of stamps and dies with a Summer vibe and I'm so proud of them. They're so fun to work with!
Our butterfly supplies were designed to work together as well. In fact, we designed the sentiments and I was going to leave them as a set of sentiments alone and somehow they just didn't feel complete so we did some designing and have these wonderful and pretty and fresh butterflies for you in the set as well.
I'd like to share with you today some of our Design Team Member's projects.
I'm sharing the above creations by Chrissy Larson and Heather Hoffman because they use the same three supplies; Pineapple Shaker Die, Hawaiian Word Dies, and Be Sweet Stamps. I think they're fantastic examples of how nicely these three new items compliment each other and yet are for two completely card giving occasions; Chrissy made hers for a grad and Heather's is a thank you. I love that!
Next up, I'm featuring these two projects by Lisa Henke and Karen Baker because they focus more on the Think Happy Thoughts Tropical Stamps and Dies but manage to work in other items too.
Lisa's design incorporates our Pineapple Shaker and our Hawaiian Word Dies and I think really shows how the Pineapple can be such a great backdrop while letting some of the other images shine in the front.
Karen's project is so cool! She's managed to make the coolest Hawaiian Shirt-like background and pair our Think Happy Thoughts Tropical Stamps with our Hawaiian Word Dies. I just love this little grouping!!!
Kim's project is so great as well. I love how she's shown you two pineapples and in two different colors and how perfectly they fit on an A2 card! Love all the colors here!
Of course, we can't leave out the main design purpose of our Pineapple Shaker Die and that is to use it as an actual shaker element. Here are a couple of projects that demonstrate that nicely.
Laura Williams' shaker project is colorful and a fun focal element here on an A2 card. Love!
I really think this project by Lisa is an excellent way to show you the size of the shaker and how it's...perfect for lack of a better word. She's shown the pineapple shaker here over our Stitched Gift Card and Note Holder Die and it doesn't overwhelm the gift card at all!
Let's focus for a minute on our Cover Up Die: Butterfly and alllllll the different techniques that can be used behind this lovely butterfly.
Here is a stamped background behind this die by Amy Kolling. How pretty! And easy too, not to mention!
Here are two fabulous examples of ink blending behind this die which are equally fabulous by Chrissy Larson and Heather Hoffman. Chrissy's card even uses the Cover Up Die: Butterfly as a shaker too!
Here are two examples by Karen and Laura W with simple, solid background but each does something unique; Karen's card features this fun outlining with a fine ink pen to make the image pop and Laura's card features her butterfly in Vellum.
Both of these excellent projects by Kim Rendino were made with alcohol inks! Aren't these amazing? I love that she was able to turn one alcohol ink-colored background into TWO amazing designs by using the negative pieces that cut away from the die.
These projects by Laura W and Lisa show you how beautifully this die cut layers over a watercolored background - yet another technique.
Which technique combined with our Butterfly is your favorite? I'm not sure I have a personal favorite but I'm definitely inspired to try more things especially the stamped background because it's one simple step!
Here's a look at some fabulous creations made using our Spread Your Wings Stamps. Again, this started out as a set of sentiments to coordinate with the Cover Up Die: Butterfly. It's partly the reason why I didn't design coordinating dies for this stamp set, actually.
I love the things the team did with these stamps and the layouts they created!
Above is a card by Amy Kolling where she used both the back of the stamp to get a solid image as well as the stamp image itself. Love the layout and colors!
Here Chrissy shows us that is we want to, we can fussy cut our butterflies because they're small and easy to manage!!!
Here, Heather made a colorful collage with some repetitive stamping and it's beautiful!
Karen's card has an excellent layout and I love how the focal is the butterfly and the sentiment. The background is our Cover Up Die Spirals but you can use any all backgrounds in your collection and make a set of cards like this.
I love that Laura W stamped her main butterflies in black onto colored card stock and trimmed them out. I hadn't thought of that but it's a terrific idea! The layout too is great!!!
