New Release Hop - Day 2 - Sunshine Dies & Sun Sentiments

Hello there! I'm having so much fun already and it's only Tuesday!

I'm here for day 2 of our new release hop featuring our brand new Sunshine Dies and Sun Sentiments stamp set! If you're just joining us, we've released these great Sunshine Dies in two sizes, small and large. They make the perfect sun for your projects as focal image, to compliment our Rainbows & Clouds sets, to create a sky or scene on any project....this set really knows no limits. Our coordinating Sun Sentiments stamps are done in a fun and funky font...a repeat of the font used most in the Rainbows & Clouds set so that these sets can easily mix and match. The rays on each of our dies feature our Signature stitching detail which really just makes these dies SHINE!

The dies can be purchased separately or together as a set with the coordinating sentiment stamp set!

Let's have a look.....

I thought I would share an out of the box idea/use for our new dies. I thought they would make neat flowers which I've created by layering the dies together. Here it is...

For my largest flower I layered 2 large suns and added a small sun with a foam square and made sure to bend up all the rays so that my flower appears more lifelike. For the small flower I layered 2 small suns using a foam square in between for some dimension. I am LOVING the effect of these flowers! They are totally adorable and really unique! I love that once my flowers were done that the centers were large enough for an embellishment! What did I do before I had these dies in my collection? I am absolutely in love with how they turned out. I hope you are too!

Don't forget we're giving away 2 $10 store credits. To be eligible to enter please leave comments along our hop this week. You will have until Sunday, July 15th at 11:30 PM EST to comment to be eligible.

I hope you're enjoying our brand new Sunshine Dies and Sun Sentiments which are available here in our LID Store.

Stay tuned for tomorrow. We are releasing a set that you are going to LOOOOVE!! We've been working on it for what feels like FOREVER and the idea and concept was suggested by our very own Design Team Member, Emily Leiphart!! It should have been released back in May/June but it just wasn't quite ready for its debut until now! I love it soooo much and I think you're going to FLIP for it. Has anyone been over to our shop to check it out yet??

On another note, we have SOOOO many exciting things going on here behind the scenes at Lil' Inker! Ariana is knocking it out of the park with art. We're adding a brand new line of illustrated stamps to our collection, we're getting ready to release the most adorable 2 Cute Ink images ever, we've added a graphics designer to our team who you know and love AND........{drum roll} we're finally getting ready to introduce our brand new Lil' Inker Designs Color Team!!! I am SOOOOOO excited! So stay with us for some really great things to come!

I'm going to send you on your way now to the AMAZING Alicia Thelin of Scrappy Betties! I can't WAIT to see what she's got for us today.

Enjoy the rest of our hop!

Lil' Inker New Release Hop - Day 1 - Hello Sunshine!

Hi there!!!!!!!! Happy Monday and thank you so much for joining us today!!! We are kicking off this week's new releases with a brand new die and stamp set that not only will you LOVE, but will work with some of the sets that you already have in your collection from Lil' Inker Designs AND with so many of your favorite sets already in your collection!!

These dies are something I've wanted to release for a very long time and I'm so excited to finally be able to share them with you today! Introducing our brand new Sunshine Dies and Sun Sentiments Stamp Set!!!!

The dies are available in two different sizes, small and large, and can be purchased individually or as a set with their fabulously coordinating stamps.

The Sunshine dies and stamps have been designed specifically to coordinate with our Rainbows & Clouds set. Even the font in the stamps was repeated so that your sentiments can easily coordinate! They will even work wonders with your 2 Cute Ink images if you're making a little outdoor scene! ...so much versatility in this set!

I am so thrilled with how this set has turned out. I'm delighted to have more stamps in this fun and funky font and I'm PSYCHED to have sun dies with our signature perforated detail to coordinate with Rainbows and Clouds or stand alone beautifully on their own.

Here is a tag I made the instant these dies arrived at my front door. I was going to my friend's daughter's birthday party and I needed to wrap all the cutie clothes I picked out for her. Having a boy, I love shopping for my friends daughters. The clothes are just so cute! I thought that it would be fun to make this wrapping as "green" as possible...no, not the color even though that's how it turned out but re-usable! So I decided to wrap her gift in this adorable grocery tote and embellish it with a tag (sentiment from our Rainbows & Clouds set) that can even be used as a fridge magnet! The bag was $1 from Christmas Tree Shoppes!

Have a look...

This is the Large Sunshine Die and the Clouds and sentiment from our Rainbows and Clouds set. Don't they look like they were meant for each other?? LOL!

Ok, before I send you on your sunny little way, let's talk about the hop this week. We'll be showcasing our Sunshine Dies and Sun Sentiments again tomorrow and then we'll be back on Wednesday with another BRAND NEW SET! But you know me....if you head on over to our store you'll get a preview of what's to come!

This week we have some prizes to give away....2 lucky ladies will each receive a $10 store credit to Lil' Inker Designs! You can be eligible to enter by leaving comments all along our hop this week.

Speaking of hop, it's time for me to send you on your way to the fabulous Amy Kolling of Stamp-n-Paradise.

Birthday Wishes

Hello freinds, I am soooo exciting about today's card, I am sharing the Lil' Inker's Bow Die and the Flags and Dies Stamp set...this is seriously my favorite Lil' Inker set!  I have added my shabby/vintage style to these sets, that is what I luv about Lil' Inker...so versatile!  I have used creams and browns, a vintage button, and tiny staples for the banners.  I embossed the base panel of the card, added punched borders at the top and bottom of the main panel.  So glad you stopped by for a peek at my Lil' Inker card creation!  have a super week...enjoy!

Awesome Interactive!

OMG!  I am so excited to be here today!  If you hadn't heard, the Top 5 were announced on Friday morning for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol competition and I was ONE of them!  Check out the post HERE for all the details and the other awesome gals whom I share this spotlight with.  Thank you so much for all of your support and I am so very touched by all of this.  You have no idea!

So this is it.......the FINAL ROUND.  This rounds challenge was to create an "INTERACTIVE BIRTHDAY" card.  When the post went up with the challenge, I immediately had an idea.  I've wanted to make a "scratch off" card for some time and thought this was the perfect opportunity!
I'm sure most of us have had the chance to scratch off a lottery ticket or a game piece somewhere and let's face it......it is fun!

AmyBlog1

First, I decided to use the Movers and Shakers: Sliders dies from PTI.  I've used these dies with some new paper from Echo Park: So Happy Together.  These papers coordinate beautifully!  My focal piece is a new die from Taylored Expressions:  Petal Pop-ups 2.  Wow....I love love this floral die!  This die can be layered or left alone.....here I layered 2 of the blooms and added a button center.

AmyBlog2

Ok, now do you see it?  Once you pull the tab, the slider comes out and reveals my "scratch off" areas!  For my card here, the sentiment is fully unveiled when the recipient scratches off the 3 circles!  So the entire sentiment reads, "Wishing you love, laughter, smiles on your birthday!"
Like last week, my sentiment is computer generated to say exactly what I wanted!

AmyBlog3

Here you see some of the revealed sentiment.....smiles.  I just love how easy this was to do!  I used the directions found HERE.  Simply, I used a mixture of metallic acrylic paint and dishwashing soap and painted it on the non-paper side of ConTact paper.  Once I had several coats done and were completely dry, I punched out 3/4" circles from this.  Then all I had to do was peel off the paper backing and place over my sentiment words that were to be hidden!

AmyBlog4

I am quite sure that the recipient will not only love to use the slider part but also the scratch off too!
I know I had fun making this card and I hope you find my idea creative enough to give me your vote.  This has been such an exciting competition.  The challenges have certainly taken me out of my comfort zone and it's been so fun to try new things!  Thank you and don't forget to vote HERE!  ;)

A Match Made in Heaven!

Hi everyone!
I am so excited...........I made it into the  Gallery Idol Top 10!!!

I'm so absolutely honored that I am in this group of AMAZING, talented papercrafters.
I'm not sure what else to say except THANK YOU for believing in me and my work and
for taking your time to go vote for me!

This rounds challenge was to use HOUSEHOLD items!  Things found around the house—hmmmm.
Gosh, I had lots of ideas of household things but would they work?!  Well, I finally decided to use MATCHES.  I have my SIL to thank for this one!
She threw out lots of ideas but it wasn't until she said matches that an idea came to me!

AmyRound4blog1

So my idea was the sentiment but now I had to tie it all together.  I found this picture on Pinterest and adapted it for papercrafting.....I made my own embellishment!  I cut off the tips of the matches and glued them onto a heart diecut from
AmyRound4blog5

From Pinterest

From here, I diecut lots of clouds from the

I knew these would be the perfect clouds for this card as I wanted that little extra texture of the perforations Laura adds to her dies. I used Soft Stone and Shimmer cardstock from PTI for my clouds for the added color to the otherwise white card.

AmyRound4blog2

I paired my handmade embellishment with a computer generated sentiment along with a
mini match to tie the whole thing together.  I love how it turned out!

AmyRound4blog3

Ok friends......I hope you like my card enough to go VOTE for it HERE.
I'd love to have your support and wouldn't be in the Top 10 without each and every one of you!
You have until Thursday at 1pm CST to go vote!
Thank you sooo much!
