You Made It Monday Vol. 35

It's time for another You Made It Monday!  We are super excited to share some more amazing creations that you, our customers, have created and shared with us online.  You Made It Monday is now a monthly feature and there are prizes!!!  That's right!  If you're featured in our You Made It Monday post you will receive a $10 gift certificate to Lil' Inker Designs!  Isn't that awesome??

You know how much we love seeing what you create with the products in the Lil' Inker Designs store.  You never cease to amaze us with your talent and creativity. Here is just a sampling of the awesome creations you have shared with us lately.

It's finally Spring and I couldn't help but share some amazingly springy creations that I found including this adorable card from Laurie, @crazycardlady.

I just love this card and how Laurie used the Fringe Scalloped Circles Dies to frame the adorable bicycle from Rustic Spring Stamps.  The flowers in the basket and the little sprigs of grass are too sweet and I love the ombre look on the Welcome Word Die.  Finished off the with the banner from the Warm Welcome Dies and the cute sparkle from the pink flowers, this card is a breath of fresh air!  Thanks, Laurie.

Next up, I just love this cheery card from Lindsey, @occasionalcrafting.

Why does gingham just feel springy?  I love this background and how Lindsey really made this sentiment from The Little Things Stamps the star of the card by highlighting it with these amazing blooms also from The Little Things Stamps and cut with The Little Things Dies.

This card pops and you can see even more gorgeous cards using these stamps as well as the Hello Beautiful Stamps, Hello Beautiful Dies, and Cover Up Die: Stitched Woodgrain created by The 12 Kits of Occasions Design Team.  Thanks SO much for creating this amazing card, Lindsey, and thanks to the team for featuring our products in February.

Next is a gorgeous card by Keren Baker that I found while wondering the web one day.

In case you don't already know, I really love our Really Rosemaling Stamps.  You can do SO much with them and Keren shows off their versatility in this card.  You must check out her blog where she shares another card in this same post that is equally as stunning.  I love her combo of colors and the gradients that she gets in each and every flourish.  These colors pop again that dark blue background.  Amazing!

Spring is all about new life and what better way to celebrate that than with this gorgeous baby card from Marcie, @marciesharp.

How adorable is this?  From the sweet pink background created using Quilted Stitched Pattern Die to the sweet wreath created with the Warm Welcome Dies.  Marcie used a simple flower and a bit of foliage from the Warm Welcome Stamps and it is perfect in it's simplicity.  The sentiment created using the Welcome Word Die and the few sequins add just the right finishing touch.  Thanks so much for sharing, Marcie!

The final card features a very inventive background created by Samantha, @mylittlepaperworld.

Who in the world would have thought to make a background this gorgeous from the belly of a springy bird?  Well, that's exactly what Samantha did!  She used a stamp from Hello Beautiful stamped in various shades of gray.  It turned out amazingly and I also love how she wrapped the circle with a sentiment from The Little Things around the cardfront holding the twine in place.  Such a fun design and a unique way to use a stamps.  Great job, Samantha!

April Release Hop Day 3

Hi there!!!!! It's day 3 of our new release hop! It went so fast!!

If by chance you're just joining us today for the first day definitely check out our Day 1 and Day 2 posts. Thanks!!

Let's get right to one last long look at the new items in the store this week along with two projects from Design Team Members supporting each.

Squee. I love it all. So here at my home, which is where I operate Lil' Inker Designs, I've made some changes to dedicate one room for inventory and another for packing and shipping which is also now a craft room as well. A lot happens in this room but something about the change.....I'm more organized and crafting in my new space was soooo enjoyable. I can't WAIT to get up there again and get inky!! Soon!!

Before we get to my projects today, here are two videos I made of me crafting. :)

How are you enjoying my photographs, by the way? I'm trying to up my game a bit and make them as best as I can make them. It's SO HARD!!!

Up first is a small 4.25" square card featuring our new Silly Stitched Squares Dies, Pretty Painted Stamps and Dies as well as Grad Class Stamps.

I started by stamping my letters to make the word congrats and I used my new Ranger Distress Oxide Inks. Once that was complete I used my Wire Cutting Pliers to clip out the corresponding letters and I used Washi tape to tape them over the stamped image and made one pass through my die cutting machine. I also die cut my card base with the largest die in my Silly Stitched Squares Die Set.

DID YOU KNOW?? Did you know that the largest die in this set cuts a silly stitched border ONLY around the border of  pre-made card base? I love a one layer card and the most efficient and paper-saving way to get a stitched effect around a card base is to have this die NOT cut a square.  I hope that makes sense. :)

As you can see, I then stamped a grad cap from Grad Class Stamps and some selective stamping of the word 'graduate' which I trimmed out by hand. The rest was simple - apply your patterned paper, arrange your letters and add your cap and sentiment. OH and I used my new Xyron machine to make the letters into stickers. Yes, I said new. I've always wanted one and I finally bought myself one. YAY!

Here, I also used our Silly Stitched Squares but this time the tag die in the set. Isn't is AWESOME!!!! OMGSH I love it so much. My floral images are from the beautiful new Best Blooms Stamps which I cut out using my Best Blooms Dies. The sentiment is actually from our Wreath of Roses Stamps. I really love the fluidity of that font! Now, I have this on hand to add to a gift down the road. Obsessed with this tag die by the way!

Interestingly enough this is first card I made when I started designing for this release and it's the last one I'm sharing! I started by stamping on kraft very much at random with Distress Oxide inks. I just love the way they show up on kraft paper. This was an easy and fun grouping to make. For my sentiment panel I used my So Thankful Label Die and So Thankful Stamps (border on label die). The 'mother' stamp is from our Vintage Label Sentiments Stamps which I finished off with a sentiment from Best Blooms. There's also a little Stitched Chevron Border Die in there and twice!
Of course, you can see it on the left peeking out. Love it! BUT it's also on the right too! I think it's pretty cool that you can use this die to add a solid line of stitching to a design simply.
I love how this came together and I'll be giving this to mom, of course.

We're giving away this entire release to one lucky winner and this one is AWESOME to win because it's a prize value of almost $200!!!!!!! All you have to do to be eligible to win is leave comments for our Design Team members along you way as you hop today! Yup, that's it!! Just make sure you leave them by Sunday 4/9/2017 11:30 PM EST.
