Hi there!!!!!! Good morning! Welcome to our one day May Mini Release Blog Hop!!!!!! This was sort of spur of the moment for us. We have so many things that we're ready to release in the store that we thought it would be fun to release just a few things before our next big release and mostly because we just want to USE THIS SUPPLIES!!! Hahahahaha!!!!
What's extra special about today's release is the excellent, thrilling and spectacular line up of guest designers we have hopping with us today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT before I show you the entire list of Design Team Members and guests let's have a look at the items we're releasing in the store today!
First up is a stamp and die set designed primarily for those of us who have loved and lost our furry babies. I know it's a sad theme but doesn't it make it a little easier to talk about when you see this sweet set?
We wanted to bring you a set of sweet pets that you can stamp and color, heat emboss or watercolor that you can add separate "wings" stamp because our fur babies are our angels!
Take a look.....
Angel Pets Stamps
As you can see we've included a kitty, dog, bird and even a fish and a hamster, gerbil-ish guy. Aren't they sweet? Then, you can stamp and add their angel wings if you so wish OR you can use them for other purposes because they are literally just adorable and fun to have in your collection. However, you will see that the sentiment theme of this set points to sympathy. I thought that having a group of sentiments for this theme was really important and these are just lovely sayings. There are even a couple of sentiments in this set that could be used for general sympathy and not necessarily for pets making this a nice and versatile set.
Of course, we've designed a set of Angel Pets Dies so that you can perfectly cut out your Angel Pets images quickly, easily and perfectly.
Cover Up Die: Stitched Clouds
Next up is something that I've always intended to design for you but fell off my radar that is until one of our sweetest Design Team Members, Jen Carter, said "Hey, Laura! What about a stitched cloud cover up die?" and I was like, "OMGSH! I can't believe we don't already have one!!!!!!". I should have done this years AGO!!!!
You're going to want to have this especially if you already have the Stitched Clouds Dies which come in our Rainbows & Clouds Die Set because the pattern we've used here for the stitched clouds is the same shape as in that die set so everything coordinates! Isn't that an awesome idea???
This is a terrific die to create a lovely sky background, don't you think? A TOTALY MUST HAVE! Now, this pattern was designed for use on a vertical card but you can definitely use this on a horizontal card layout with some creative layer sizing. Remember that this die will only cut the stitched clouds and will not cut a rectangle but it's easy to use and line up with a premade A2 card card base because it's the exact same size. Seriously, I love this and there a million things you can do with this die!
Last but not least are two fabulous stamps I think you're really going to love especially when you see all the excellent techniques you can use together with them. Each of these two stamps are a 4x4 Set of 1 Stamp. Both are hand illustrated, lovely and have inspiring, positive messages. Have a look.
You Will Never Regret Being Kind is up first and isn't this saying so true? I think that not only is this saying inspirational and positive but I think it's a nice phrase to be used for a thank you card or for someone who has done something nice or kind that they should be recognized for. Isn't this so pretty the way it's been designed? Let's look at our second one and then I'll talk a little bit about the techniques that are great with these.
You Will Never Regret Being Kind
Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today is our second set but is equally as lovely. I just love all the little dots and scrolls and the way this is designed. I envision using this on a card and then handwriting a message inside that says "You're Mine". Isn't that nice?
Actually, both of these sets could have a completed thought, so to speak, by handwriting a note on the inside.
I love these sets. They're perfectly oversized for card fronts and they're bold and lovely and you will not really need much else making these great to use for clean and simple card OR for playing with fun techniques. These can be heat embossed, foiled, stamped but then you do so many different things to your background. You can watercolor, stamp a pattern, stamp this and cut it out and layer over patterned paper. I think the best thing to do is to make sure for each of these stamps you head over to our project gallery on our website.
I know this is a mini release but isn't is filled with lovely things?? I think so too! :)
Here are the projects I made to share with you today and of course, once I got started I couldn't stop. Since I have a decent amount of projects here I'll try to keep my explanations to a minimum here for you. :) You know how chatty I can be!!!!
I am obsessed with this first card I made with our new Angel Pets Dies and Stamps. I wanted to show you how this set can be used for something other than its primary purpose. Here, I've designed a fun birthday card and I love it! Also see here are our Just Sayin' Stamps (sentiment), Instant Camera Die, Party Pachyderms Dies and Stamps (party hat on kitty) and Stitched Mats: Rectangles.
Here is another project featuring our Angel Pets Dies and Stamps as well as our Cover Up Die: Stitched Clouds. I made this card with the sympathy theme in mind and you can see how I added in the sweet little angel wings. Isn't that cute? I love the sentiment here. It's so sweet. Also see here are our Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles (frame) and Border Builders Die Set (Clouds) and Sunshine Die Large.
Time for some fun with our new sentiments!
Here, I began by heat embossing my Be the Reason Stamp in white onto white watercolor paper. Then, I used my Zig markers and an aqua brush to create this watery background. I trimmed out my sentiment and panel once everything was good and dry and I mounted in on foam tape to a basic white panel which features our Cover Up Die: Stitched Clouds. It's such a soft fun background it can be used for so much more than just a sky. Then I embellished with some Washi tape, a mini clothespin and linen thread.
On to our last but not least stamp, You Will Never Regret Being Kind. Here I heat embossed on back cardstock to create a bit of a chalkboard look. Once my heat embossing was good and dry/solid I colored over the letters with colored pencils for an even better colored chalk look! I layered this over an aqua panel cut with my Cover Up Die Diamond Lace and added a bit of linen thread. Love!
Here I used the same heat embossing technique. Did I mention I love to heat emboss? LOL! This time though I used some colorful scraps to create a striped background which I then trimmed down and layered over a white base adding in some bling as well. I really love how vibrant this is!
